About me and my therapy practice
Choosing to begin therapy is a personal decision, and finding the right therapist can make an important difference. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and able to explore what is happening in your life at your own pace. As an Integrative Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I draw on Humanistic, CBT, Psychodynamic and Solution-Focused approaches, tailoring our work to your individual needs, experiences and goals. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, life changes or simply feel that something needs to change, therapy can provide an opportunity to gain greater self-awareness, develop new perspectives and move towards positive change. I work with adults, young adults and young people, offering an empathetic and collaborative approach that respects you as an individual. Take the First Step I offer a complimentary 15-minute telephone call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss what you are looking for and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. There is no pressure or obligation to continue — finding the right therapeutic relationship matters.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in a strong academic and professional background in Psychology, Education and Psychotherapy, supported by extensive experience across a range of settings.
I hold degrees in Psychology and Education, a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and have completed Master’s-level training in Psychotherapy. My professional experience includes working within NHS Talking Therapies, as well as supporting young people and adults as a counsellor and mental health practitioner.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, ensuring that my work remains ethical, thoughtful and responsive to each individual.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP) and National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and work in accordance with professional ethical standards.
I offer face-to-face sessions in Nutfield, Surrey, as well as online therapy, providing flexibility to suit your needs.
If you would like to discuss whether therapy could be right for you, please get in touch.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity to begin getting to know you and understand what has brought you to therapy. It includes an initial assessment, lasting approximately 50 minutes and costing £70.
We will gently explore your current circumstances, experiences, concerns and what you hope to gain from therapy. This helps me understand your individual needs and consider how I can best support you within my professional expertise and ethical practice.
If I feel that another service or specialist support would be more appropriate, I will discuss this with you and, where possible, provide suitable recommendations or signposting.
The first session is not about having all the answers. It is simply the beginning of creating a shared understanding and establishing whether we feel therapy together could be helpful.
