Practice description

My qualifications and experience

I am a fully-qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. Before working as a therapist I worked in youth mental-health services, alongside which I worked for many years teaching meditation and yoga. I hold an MA in the history and philosophy of yoga and meditation from SOAS (University of London).

My approach

I am an integrative therapist, meaning I work with different kinds of therapeutic tools and thought. I don't believe in a one-size-fits all approach. My work is informed by taking into account what might be most beneficial to you.

My approach is informed both by traditional and contemporary models. I consider not only your life circumstance and history, but also the impacts of the “bigger picture” of your life such as family, society, generational influence, and your hopes, ambitions and dreams.

Schools of thought I work with include Transpersonal Psychology, Jungian, Psychodynamic, Developmental Psychology, Gestalt, body-based, Polyvagal theory, somatic and nervous-system focused approaches.

Therapeutic relationship

A supportive, compassionate, and trusting therapeutic relationship is the corner-stone to working through many psychological issues. Building a solid relationship and creating a safe space can give you the chance to enable change in your life.

My first session

The first session is free

Sessions are fifty minutes, and are usually at the same time each week. The number of sessions a client has depends on individual needs.
