About me and my therapy practice

How can Therapy help you?

There are numerous motivations for seeking the support of a therapist; a specific current issue or crisis, enduring emotional or relational difficulties, loss, bereavement, the desire for personal insight, growth and self-development and many more.

During times of uncertainty, it can be helpful to have a safe, calm and non-judgemental space to talk, process and work through difficulties.  Gaining insight and understanding of the here and now through the lens of the past often enables the discovery and development of new ways of being, thinking and relating that are less compromised by past experiences. I can help nurture and facilitate this process at a pace that suits your wants and needs.

I have benefited from therapy at challenging times in my life which I feel has enabled me to empathise and gain a deeper understanding of what taking the first steps towards therapy can be like.

My approach

My approach is inclusive, considering an individual’s subjective perspective and circumstance from a social, cultural, and psychological perspective. Offering insights that are in the best interests of your therapeutic development, I aim to facilitate the promotion of agency, autonomy and ownership.

I am a fully qualified and registered Integrative Therapist. I’m trauma-informed working relationally with aspects of humanism, existentialism and contemporary psychodynamic theoretical approaches.

Practice description

Our work together

I fundamentally believe that effective therapeutic practice is underpinned by the relationship between the therapist and client, so developing a strong, robust alliance, and offering an inclusive and supportive environment for you to navigate the therapeutic process is essential to the way we work.

My diverse life and work experience give me the ability to be resilient, resourceful and highly adaptable in providing support to a wide range of clients. I will walk alongside you, as a kind witness, offering a non-judgemental space, meeting you where you are.

Specialist Experience

I have significant experience in the field of addiction and hold specialist expertise in this area; attending to the addiction issue or addictive process while also working on addressing the underlying traumas which have led to the addictive cycle. I also work with family members in order to help them navigate their own way through the impact of the addiction on their lives.

I have extensive training and experience working with complex bereavement, grief, loss and endings. My approach to working with bereavement has been influenced by the notion that we of 'grow around our grief’, moving away from more linear models and focussing on an individual’s felt and lived experience of their loss.

I have further informed my practice through my work with the Body Dysmorphia Foundation as a group facilitator for the charity.

Engagements include:

  • St Joseph’s Hospice Bereavement Service
  • Body Dysmorphia Foundation
  • Martlets Hospice Bereavement Service
  • Brent Bereavement Service
  • Forward Trust: Community Substance Misuse & Family Services
  • Childline UK
  • Action on Addiction
  • HMP Holloway

I attend regular supervision and keep up to date with new developments and research within the field of mental health and well-being which informs the continuing development of my practice.

I hold Professional Liability Insurance and an Enhanced DBS.

About me and my therapy practice

About me & my therapy practice

I’m a British-trained psychotherapist and the founder of Woodward Wellbeing, working with adults who are navigating change, loss, and periods of personal transition.

My work focuses on trauma, addiction, and neurodiversity — particularly ADHD — and I often support high-functioning professionals and entrepreneurs experiencing burnout, relational strain, or a growing sense that something in their life or identity no longer fits.

I work from an integrative, mind–body perspective, combining depth-oriented psychotherapy with an understanding of physiological stress, hormonal change, and neurodiverse functioning. My approach is clinically grounded and practical, with a focus on supporting greater clarity, stability, and self-trust.

I aim to offer a space that feels steady, engaged, and honest. The work bridges psychological insight with real-world context, helping clients make sense of both their inner experience and the patterns shaping everyday life.

Practice description

Our work together

I believe effective therapy is underpinned by the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. Developing a strong, supportive therapeutic alliance — within an inclusive and respectful environment — is central to the way I work.

My diverse life and professional experience allows me to be resilient, adaptable, and responsive in supporting a wide range of clients, meeting you where you are while maintaining clarity and direction.

Areas of focus

  • Trauma, addiction, and recovery
  • ADHD and neurodiversity
  • Burnout, life transitions, and identity change
  • Relationship and attachment difficulties
  • Body image and BDD-related presentations
  • Emotional regulation and resilience

Specialist interests

I have a particular interest in the intersection of mental health, hormonal change, and nervous-system regulation, including perimenopause, executive functioning and emotional dysregulation, and chronic stress or somatic fatigue.

My work integrates body-based awareness and emotional literacy within an evidence-based, trauma-informed framework.

Professional background

Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I worked extensively in the health and wellbeing sector as a coach and facilitator specialising in behavioural change and motivation. Alongside my clinical training, I have a strong foundation in yoga, movement, and somatic awareness, which continues to inform my work with nervous-system regulation.

I’ve worked across addiction recovery services, bereavement organisations, community mental-health settings, and private practice, including delivering CBT-informed group work with the Body Dysmorphic Disorder Foundation.

My first session

The first session is gently led by me and provides a clear, structured starting point for our work together. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, any relevant background, and what you’re hoping to gain from the process. The focus is on establishing clarity and direction, and beginning to shape the support that feels right for you.

The first session is charged at my standard rate. I also offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation beforehand, which offers an opportunity to ask any questions and get a clearer sense of how I work.
