About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and there may be moments when having someone to talk to can make things feel a little more manageable. If you’re struggling with your mental health or going through a difficult period in your life, I’m here to offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be yourself.

I have experience supporting people with a range of difficulties, including low self-confidence and self-esteem, anxiety, depression and low mood, trauma, neurodiversity, relationship difficulties and infidelity, bereavement, and challenging life changes.

I offer a free, confidential 15-minute telephone consultation, giving you the opportunity to tell me a little about what you’re looking for, ask any questions you may have, and see whether counselling feels right for you. You can call, email or text me to arrange a time that works for you.

I believe counselling should be personal to you. Everyone’s experiences, circumstances and needs are different, so I take a tailored approach rather than expecting you to fit into a particular way of working.

My main approach is Person-Centred Therapy, which means I see you as the expert in your own life and experiences. My role is to listen with empathy, understanding and without judgement, while offering genuine and supportive guidance as you explore what is happening for you.

Where helpful, I also draw on Transactional Analysis (TA) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques. These can help you explore patterns in your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and develop new ways of understanding and responding to the things that may be troubling you.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes, taking that first step and having someone genuinely listen can be a helpful place to start.
