I run my practice from Ramsgate on a Thursday and Friday and offer some evenings and weekends. I also offer telephone and remote counselling during this time to anyone in the UK.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer face-to-face sessions from my private practice in Ramsgate, as well as online and telephone counselling across the UK. My main practice days are Thursday and Friday, with some evening and weekend availability. I offer a complimentary initial conversation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
Contact me for a free initial call at Light Circle Counselling if you are looking for a guiding light into clarity.
Practice description
I offer a calm, compassionate counselling space for adults who are carrying stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss, caring responsibilities or uncertainty about who they are and what they need. People often contact me when they feel they have been coping for a long time, but something has become too heavy, confusing or painful to manage alone.
My practice is integrative, trauma-informed and relational. This means I do not use a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, we work together at a pace that feels manageable, exploring what has shaped your experiences and what may help you feel steadier, clearer and more connected to yourself. Sessions may include talking therapy, psychoeducation, nervous-system awareness, grounding strategies, work around boundaries and communication, and careful exploration of past or present relational patterns.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for you to tell me what has brought you to counselling and what you hope may feel different. You do not need to have everything worked out before you come. We can talk gently about what feels most important, any previous experiences of therapy, and what would help you feel safe and supported in the work.
I will also explain how I work, answer any questions, and check whether the pace and focus feel right for you. The aim is not to rush into difficult material, but to begin building a steady therapeutic relationship where trust, choice and collaboration are central.
We will also look at our working contract together that we can return to during out journey together should we need to.
Should you feel you need it, we can arrange a complementary short session to see if you feel safe and comfortable working with me and in the supportive space I offer.
