I am an integrated counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
I offer person-centred therapy, CBT, and DBT to empower my clients on their journey to well-being. By incorporating mindfulness techniques, we enhance emotional management and resilience, achieving meaningful progress together.
Person-Centred Therapy is the main type I use. I believe it helps you understand and accept yourself, giving you the confidence to make decisions and live the life you want.
CBT is structured and includes outside activities. We will discuss your counselling goals and decide together which therapy suits you best.

Hello and welcome to Navigate Ahead Counselling. My name is Nasreen/Naz. I am a qualified integrated counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
Everybody experiences times in their lives when they feel depressed or anxious, or when things seem overwhelming and challenging. For example, this might be related to issues at work, relationships, family dynamics, illness, or loss. Seeking support from those we know can be helpful during these times, but it can also be beneficial to talk to someone who is not directly involved to gain a fresh perspective on the problem and how we might begin to address it. At this point, treatment may be helpful.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrated counsellor, and my primary approach is person-centred therapy, complemented by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
To put it simply, I view counselling as a form of talk therapy. As a counsellor, I strive to be warm, responsive, and non-judgmental to create a supportive counselling relationship with you. This relationship is crucial, as it allows you to feel comfortable speaking openly, which in turn helps us build mutual trust.
In developing our counselling relationship, both of us have important roles to play; however, you will always be the most significant person in this dynamic.
I am committed to showing genuine interest in you. I am a registered member of the BACP and bound to work to their ethical framework.
Practice description
You don’t have to know all the theory to start or complete your counselling journey, but if you are interested, my approach is grounded in the idea that people are inherently motivated towards positive psychological functioning. It is a non-directive form of talk therapy where you act as an equal partner in the process with your therapist.
Some benefits of counselling/therapy can include:
• Overcoming depression, anxiety, grief, or stress
• Identifying Emotional Distress and learning skills with CBT
• Achieving better self-awareness and managing emotions healthily
• Reducing feelings of guilt or insecurity
• Seeking and sustaining healthier relationships and many more benefits
I always put your safety and what you need first; that's really important to me.
I'm always learning and improving my skills so I can give you the best support possible.
Thanks for reading about me. You can find out more about how I work on my website. Please get in touch if you think we could work well together. If not, I wish you all the best in the future and with everything you do. I see you as an individual and understand that everyone is unique.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation to help you make a decision about whether we move forward together or not.
The aim of this session is for us to find out a bit more about each other and help us to decide if I could be the right counsellor for you. There is no obligation or expectation to continue if we feel I’m not right for you.
If we decide to continue, we will then book our first session at a mutually convenient time.
You can stop your counselling at any time. Please look at the FAQs on my website for more information.
