About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Nasreen/Naz. I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor offering Person Centred therapy and CBT for men, women, and children aged 12 and over.

Everyone encounters challenging times when they feel sad or anxious. These emotions often stem from work issues, relationship problems, family dynamics, cultural pressures, illness, or loss. It’s important to seek support from friends or family, but talking to someone outside your situation can offer valuable insights. At this stage, pursuing professional help is crucial for moving forward.

Experience and Specialisms

My background in the care sector has given me a unique perspective on the resilience of the human spirit. I specialise in:

• Learning Disabilities: I have a wealth of experience in adapting therapy to be accessible and supportive for individuals with learning disabilities and neurodiversity.

• Emotional Regulation: Using DBT-informed techniques to help those who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or struggle with stability.

• Navigating Life’s Challenges: Supporting people through the hardships of life, drawing from a place of shared humanity and professional care experience.

I believe that through empathy and the right therapeutic tools, it is possible to navigate even the most difficult struggles. My goal is to meet your needs with the highest level of care and to help you build a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling.

Practice description

I am an integrated multilingual counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).

I offer person-centred therapy, CBT, and DBT to empower my clients on their journey to well-being in Urdu, English, or Punjabi.

• Person-Centred: At the heart of my practice is a deep, empathetic connection. I draw close to your experience to truly understand your struggles, providing a non-judgmental space where you feel seen and heard.

• CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): I help you identify the links between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, providing practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, and negative cycles.

• DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy): I specialise in helping clients manage intense emotions and improve relationships through mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation skills.

About me and my therapy practice

Integrative Counsellor | Person-Centred, CBT & DBT

Taking the step toward counselling is a powerful decision, and finding the right person to walk alongside you is essential. My name is Nasreen Ali, and I am a therapist dedicated to meeting my clients with warmth, authenticity, and a deep commitment to their growth.

My path to becoming a counsellor is rooted in a lifelong passion for care. Through extensive experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, I became profoundly self-aware of my genuine interest in giving my "best self" to those I support. I draw on my own life challenges and my professional background in care to offer a therapeutic relationship built on true empathy and understanding.
