I offer counselling in Bushey and online, with appointments available during the day and selected evening sessions.
I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours during my working week.
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, so I do my best to provide a warm, welcoming and reliable point of contact from your first enquiry onwards. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-doubt or feeling stuck in life, I aim to offer a space where you feel heard, understood and able to explore what is going on at your own pace.
If you would like to find out more about how I work, please visit my website where you can read more about my approach, experience and the issues I support clients with. You are also welcome to book a free 10-minute introductory call through Calendly. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy and whether I feel like the right fit for you.
If I am unable to answer your call, please feel free to leave a voicemail or send me a WhatsApp message, whichever feels easiest for you, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
About me and my therapy practice
Many clients seek therapy because they are struggling in relationships, whether with a partner, family members, friends, colleagues, or within themselves. You may find yourself overthinking, avoiding difficult decisions, fearing rejection, putting others' needs first, or questioning your own worth. These patterns can leave you feeling trapped, lonely and disconnected, even when surrounded by people who care about you.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational, which means we explore not only what is happening in your life today but also how past experiences and important relationships may be influencing your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in the present. Together, we look beneath the surface to understand the roots of your difficulties rather than simply managing symptoms.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and honestly. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Often the people who benefit most are those who have spent years coping alone and are ready to understand themselves more deeply.
Through counselling and psychotherapy, you can begin to develop greater self-awareness, healthier boundaries, improved relationships, increased confidence and a stronger sense of who you are. Therapy can help you move from simply getting through each day to feeling more connected, grounded and able to make choices that feel right for you.
If you are looking for counselling in Bushey, therapy in Watford, or online psychotherapy across the UK, I offer a free 10-minute introductory call to help you decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
Practice description
Sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes. I offer both short-term counselling for a specific issue and longer-term psychotherapy for those who would like to explore themselves more deeply. We work at a pace that feels right for you. There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out.
My approach is thoughtful, relational and psychodynamic. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we explore what may sit beneath them. Together, we look at how past experiences, important relationships and life events may be influencing how you feel, think and relate to others today. This deeper understanding can help create lasting change rather than temporary solutions.
Many clients tell me they value having a dedicated space each week that is entirely their own a place to pause, reflect and be heard. Over time, therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, stronger boundaries, improved relationships, increased confidence and a sense of connection to yourself.
Whether you are seeking support with anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, life transitions, grief and loss, or simply a feeling that something is not quite right, therapy can provide an opportunity to understand yourself more fully.
I welcome enquiries from people looking for counselling in Bushey, therapy in Watford, psychotherapy in Hertfordshire, or online counselling throughout the UK.
If you would like to find out more, you are welcome to arrange a free 10-minute introductory call to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Many people come to their first session feeling nervous, unsure where to begin, or worried they won't know what to say.
You don't need to have everything worked out before you come. You don't even need to have the right words. Together, we'll begin to make sense of what's going on.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to counselling. We'll talk about any difficulties you're experiencing, whether that's anxiety, relationship problems, low self-esteem, stress, loss, or simply a feeling that something isn't quite right. There is no pressure to share everything straight away. We work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Research consistently shows that the relationship between counsellor and client is one of the most important factors in successful therapy, so it's important that you feel comfortable, understood and able to be yourself.

About me and my therapy practice
It’s not always easy to reach out for support, especially when you’ve spent so long appearing to cope on the outside. If you’re starting to feel disconnected from yourself, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, or quietly questioning what’s next, I warmly invite you to get in touch. Finding the right therapist can make all the difference, and I’d be happy to share more about how I work and how I might support you.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, and the emotional impact of loss or change. Many of the people I work with are beginning to realise that something needs to shift, whether that’s feeling overwhelmed, repeating relationship patterns, struggling with boundaries, or feeling unsure of themselves. Often clients come to therapy feeling unheard, unseen, or carrying the effects of a critical or intrusive parent, unprocessed grief, or years of putting their own needs last.
Therapy with me offers a calm, compassionate space to explore your inner world, without pressure to have everything figured out. I bring warmth, curiosity, and respect to the process, supporting you to make sense of your experiences, understand how your past may be shaping your present, and reconnect with who you are beyond the expectations of others.
Practice description
My practice is a calm, private space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface. You don’t need to perform or apologise for your feelings here.
Many of the people I work with describe feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, repeating relationship dynamics, staying in relationships that aren’t working, constantly questioning themselves, or feeling like they should be happy but aren’t. We often explore how early experiences, family dynamics, and attachment patterns continue to shape how they relate to others and to themselves.
Whether you’re feeling lost, numb, overwhelmed, navigating grief, or unsure why you’re struggling, our work together will help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your sense of self, and create space for meaningful change.
Clients I work with
• Individuals exploring therapy for the first time
• People navigating relationship difficulties, boundaries, or uncertainty
• Clients experiencing major life transitions or identity shifts such as becoming a parent, marriage, separation, or loss
My first session
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. We’ll explore what’s brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping for, whether that’s feeling stuck despite coping on the outside, struggling in relationships, or trying to make sense of a life transition. There’s no pressure to share everything right away,we’ll go at your pace.
It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions and notice how you feel in the space. Therapy works best when there’s a sense of connection and trust, so this first meeting is about exploring whether we’re the right fit.
I often work with adults who appear to be managing on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves inside. Many are thoughtful and self-aware, yet find themselves repeating relationship patterns, struggling with boundaries, or quietly questioning their direction in life.
