About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel truly daunting, whether it’s the weight of anxiety, the cloud of low mood, the pain of loss, or simply those moments when you feel stuck and uncertain about your next steps. I understand how vulnerable these times can make you feel. That’s why I am deeply committed to offering a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space, where you are genuinely heard and supported. Here, we can gently and patiently explore together what matters most to you and how you might move forward at your own pace.
My approach is grounded in compassion and respect for your individual journey. I am here to walk alongside you, supporting you as you navigate whatever challenges or emotions you may be experiencing. Together, we will gently discover what feels right for you personally and consider new ways to make your life more manageable and meaningful. Throughout our work, my intention is to nurture your self-awareness and understanding, helping you to feel empowered and more at peace with yourself and your circumstances.
Practice description
Within the therapeutic process, I will encourage and support you in reconnecting with your core values, sense of self-worth, and identity. I believe that by nurturing these essential parts of you, we can help lay a stronger, more resilient foundation for your wellbeing and personal fulfilment. This journey is about rediscovering your strengths and what brings you a sense of belonging and purpose.
It’s been a privilege to support adults, and couples facing a wide variety of concerns, such as anxiety, ADHD, stress, trauma, relationship issues, communication, and bereavement. I recognise that each person’s story is unique, and I am dedicated to adapting my approach to meet your individual needs with care, sensitivity, and understanding.
My first session
The First Step — Reaching Out
Taking the first step towards seeking support can feel intimidating, and perhaps even overwhelming. Please know that these feelings are completely normal, and you are not alone. Reaching out is an act of courage and self-compassion, and it marks the beginning of your journey towards healing and growth. If you are considering starting therapy, I warmly invite you to contact me by email or phone—there is no need to have the perfect words, just let me know you’d like to have a conversation about how I might support you.
Once you have reached out, I aim to respond to your enquiry within 24 business hours, ensuring you feel acknowledged and cared for from the very beginning. Together, we can arrange a complimentary, friendly, and confidential consultation at a time that suits you. This initial conversation is a safe space for you to ask any questions and to share as much or as little as you wish. My aim is always to help you feel comfortable and supported as you consider the next steps on your unique journey.

About me and my therapy practice
You may appear calm and capable on the outside while internally feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you are anymore. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking constantly, struggling in relationships, feeling emotionally alone, or carrying a sense that something deeper in life feels unsettled or missing.
I offer existential psychotherapy for individuals and couples in Heaton Moor, Stockport, and online across the UK and internationally. My work is with people who want more than symptom management alone, people who want to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of recurring emotional and relational patterns, and reconnect with a more authentic sense of self.
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning externally but internally exhausted from carrying anxiety, self-doubt, emotional disconnection, relationship difficulties, trauma, or identity struggles for a long time on their own.
As an existential psychotherapist, I see therapy as a space where we can slow down and explore your lived experience honestly and compassionately. Together, we may look at how your relationships, past experiences, emotional patterns, and ways of relating to yourself have shaped how you experience life now.
My approach is warm, reflective, relational, and non-judgemental. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you do not need to perform, appear “fine,” or have everything figured out before beginning.
Practice description
Existential psychotherapy focuses on how we relate to ourselves, others, and the wider questions that naturally arise throughout life. identity, meaning, uncertainty, loneliness, freedom, intimacy, loss, and how we wish to live.
Rather than seeing emotional struggles purely as symptoms to eliminate, existential therapy invites a deeper exploration of what your experiences may be expressing or communicating.
Therapy with me is not about giving quick solutions or advice. Instead, we work collaboratively to understand what may feel confusing, painful, emotionally stuck, or difficult to put into words. Through this process, many clients begin to experience greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, connection, and a stronger sense of agency in their lives and relationships.
I work with individuals experiencing:
Anxiety/overthinking
Emotional disconnection
Relationship difficulties
Self-esteem/identity struggles
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Life transitions and uncertainty
Existential anxiety and questions around meaning
Fertility and IVF-related emotional challenges
I also work with couples who may feel emotionally distant, stuck in repetitive conflict, disconnected from one another, or unable to communicate openly and safely. Couples therapy can offer a space to understand the emotional dynamics beneath conflict and begin rebuilding connection and understanding within the relationship.
I hold a Doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy and have additional training in couples therapy and IVF counselling. Alongside private practice, I continue to deepen my understanding of existential and relational approaches to therapy and supervision.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy depending on your needs.
My first session
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, especially if you are used to carrying things alone or are unsure how to explain what you are feeling.
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, what feels difficult at the moment, and what you may hope for from the therapeutic process. It is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether working together feels right for you.
You do not need to arrive with full clarity or the “right words.” Often, understanding develops through the process of therapy itself.
Individual therapy-50 minutes: £70 per session
Couples therapy-90 minutes: £110 per session
I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces where appropriate.
