About me and my therapy practice
About me
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether through anxiety, overwhelm, trauma, loss, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of the way forward. In those moments, talking with friends or family might not feel enough, and that’s where therapy can help.
I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can begin to explore your experiences and what’s troubling you. My approach is existential psychotherapy, which means we will work together to explore life’s challenges and choices in a way that is unique to you, helping you reconnect with your values, freedom, and sense of direction so that you gain some clarity and confidence to move forward.
I’ve supported young people, adults, and couples with issues including anxiety, trauma, bereavement, and the impact of difficult or coercive relationships. Alongside this, I completed my Doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy (I’m currently finishing my research), giving me both a depth of clinical experience and a rigorous foundation in theory.
Therapy with me is not about being “fixed.” It’s about being heard, understood, and supported to create new perspectives and choices that work better for you. Together, we can work to reduce the weight of what you’re carrying, break unhelpful patterns, and help you feel more confident in shaping the life you want to live.

First Step — Reaching Out
Getting started can feel daunting, but this is the first step. You can either click here, or use the details below to either email, phone or SMS. You may briefly share what is bringing you to therapy or simply say you’d like to talk. I will respond within 24 business hours to arrange a time for a free, confidential consultation.
Second Step — The Free Initial Consultation
This is a 15 minute conversation over zoom, phone or in-person. It is an opportunity for us to connect, for you to ask any questions, and to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. There is no pressure or commitment at this stage.
Third Step — Agreeing To Begin Sessions
If we decide to continue, I will send you a welcome pack with a working agreement, which includes mutual expectations and payment information. Together we will agree on a regular time and frequency to meet — either online via Zoom or in person in Heaton Moor.
Final Step — Beginning Sessions
The first 4-6 sessions are about getting to know each other and exploring what has brought you to therapy, what you hope for, and how I may be able to help. These conversations also focus on building a trusting connection, while gaining an understanding of your present situation, past experiences, and future goals.
Midway is where the main therapeutic work takes place. We will meet regularly in a way that feels manageable and meaningful. Together we will explore thoughts, feelings, patterns, and possibilities. This stage is collaborative, flexible, and unique to you, focusing on creative changes that support your growth and well being.
Towards the end, when the time feels right, we will plan for an ending together. This might unfold naturally or be approached as a structured piece of work. The aim is to reflect on what has changed, whats been learned, and what you want to carry forward.

About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel truly daunting, whether it’s the weight of anxiety, the cloud of low mood, the pain of loss, or simply those moments when you feel stuck and uncertain about your next steps. I understand how vulnerable these times can make you feel. That’s why I am deeply committed to offering a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space, where you are genuinely heard and supported. Here, we can gently and patiently explore together what matters most to you and how you might move forward at your own pace.
My approach is grounded in compassion and respect for your individual journey. I am here to walk alongside you, supporting you as you navigate whatever challenges or emotions you may be experiencing. Together, we will gently discover what feels right for you personally and consider new ways to make your life more manageable and meaningful. Throughout our work, my intention is to nurture your self-awareness and understanding, helping you to feel empowered and more at peace with yourself and your circumstances.
Practice description
Within the therapeutic process, I will encourage and support you in reconnecting with your core values, sense of self-worth, and identity. I believe that by nurturing these essential parts of you, we can help lay a stronger, more resilient foundation for your wellbeing and personal fulfilment. This journey is about rediscovering your strengths and what brings you a sense of belonging and purpose.
It’s been a privilege to support young people, adults, and couples facing a wide variety of concerns, such as anxiety, ADHD, stress, trauma, relationship issues, communication, and bereavement. I recognise that each person’s story is unique, and I am dedicated to adapting my approach to meet your individual needs with care, sensitivity, and understanding.

The First Step — Reaching Out
Taking the first step towards seeking support can feel intimidating, and perhaps even overwhelming. Please know that these feelings are completely normal, and you are not alone. Reaching out is an act of courage and self-compassion, and it marks the beginning of your journey towards healing and growth. If you are considering starting therapy, I warmly invite you to contact me by email or phone—there is no need to have the perfect words, just let me know you’d like to have a conversation about how I might support you.
Once you have reached out, I aim to respond to your enquiry within 24 business hours, ensuring you feel acknowledged and cared for from the very beginning. Together, we can arrange a complimentary, friendly, and confidential consultation at a time that suits you. This initial conversation is a safe space for you to ask any questions and to share as much or as little as you wish. My aim is always to help you feel comfortable and supported as you consider the next steps on your unique journey.
