About me and my therapy practice
Many people come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or under pressure to cope despite appearing to manage well on the surface. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, or a sense that familiar patterns are no longer sustainable, even though you have tried hard to manage them yourself.
I offer thoughtful, person-centred counselling for adults who want to understand themselves more clearly and make sense of the patterns shaping their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My work focuses on developing understanding rather than applying labels or quick solutions, allowing change to emerge from clearer insight and self-understanding.
Our work together moves at a pace that feels manageable, with space to reflect without pressure to perform or arrive with everything clearly defined. Many people find that as patterns become clearer, new ways of relating to themselves and others begin to feel possible.
Clients often bring a range of experiences to counselling, including anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship challenges, family dynamics, life transitions such as separation or divorce, and questions connected to autism, ADHD, neurodivergence, or high sensitivity. These are simply starting points; therapy is shaped around your individual experience.
My training is in person-centred and humanistic therapy, and I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Keele University. My clinical experience includes counselling NHS staff and working with cancer patients and their families as a Macmillan counsellor, alongside experience in charitable counselling settings. I now dedicate all of my working time to private practice.
Sessions are available in person in Wombourne (near Wolverhampton), or remotely via video or phone if preferred.
If you are considering counselling, an introductory conversation can help you decide whether working together feels right. There is no obligation - simply an opportunity to explore the next step.
