About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting individuals in diverse settings, including crisis retreats, charitable organisations, community counselling services, and universities. My background enables me to provide thoughtful, evidence-based support tailored to each client’s unique needs.
I focus on what matters to you. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to hold it alone. Anything on your mind is welcome - memories, thoughts, feelings, wishes, dreams, relationships, and even reactions to the world around you, including me or the therapy itself. As we work together, we’ll gently uncover some of the unconscious processes that influence your thoughts and behaviours. This way, you'll start to notice patterns and gain fresh insights about yourself, all in a supportive and open environment.
Specialties:
• Identity
• Trauma
• Loss and grief
• Life transitions
Practice description
I support individual adults 18+ with a range of issues.
I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy online (via MS Teams video calls only). Each 50-minute session is at a set time and day weekly.
I offer focused short-term focused counselling (12 sessions with an option to review the work and extend) or long-term, open-ended psychotherapy (as needed or collaboratively decided). If you choose short-term therapy, I will assist you in focusing on one significant issue.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute Zoom video call, which is an opportunity to meet with each other, briefly explain your situation, and ask questions.
Before we get started, I’ll send you a registration form to gather essential details and basic information. The initial 50-minute session is an opportunity to share your concerns in more detail, explore your needs, experience how I work, and see if my approach feels right. There’s no pressure to continue, and sometimes another method or specialist may be a better fit. Everything you share is always kept confidential.
If we decide to work together, I’ll send you a contract and privacy notice that explain what you can expect from me, your responsibilities, fees, and other important details. Take your time to read them—these documents are there to make sure everything is clear and comfortable for you. Once agreed, we can begin our sessions together.
