About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I am an integrative counsellor offering online and telephone therapy for adults and young people aged 16 and over.

I provide a warm, calm, and supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. My priority is that you feel safe, heard, and understood. Starting therapy can feel daunting and I aim to create an environment where you can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I work in an integrative way, which means I draw from person-centred, psychodynamic and holistic approaches, with a touch of CBT to support change. Together, we can explore current difficulties, emotional challenges, and patterns that may be rooted in earlier life experiences, helping you develop greater self-awareness and confidence in yourself.

Alongside being supportive and reflective, I can also offer gentle challenge when it feels helpful. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together to help you make sense of your experiences and move towards positive change.

Practice description

I work with adults and young people aged 16+, supporting anyone who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, stuck, or navigating difficult relationships, life transitions or patterns that feel hard to break. My role is to hold a steady, compassionate space where you can unpack what’s happening for you and begin to understand yourself more deeply.

Clients often describe me as warm, caring and gently direct when needed. I adapt to the individual, meeting you where you are and creating an environment where you can express yourself freely without judgment. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy and openness, and I aim for our sessions to leave you feeling lighter, clearer more confident and more connected to yourself.

I offer weekly or bi-weekly 50-minute sessions via Zoom or phone, giving you flexibility to choose what feels most comfortable. Whether you're seeking support with a specific issue or simply need a space to process and reflect, I am here to hold space for you and walk alongside you as you move towards greater emotional clarity and self-understanding.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I take a gentle, grounding approach, making sure you feel comfortable, heard and in control of the pace.

In this session, we will explore what you’re experiencing, what you hope to gain from counselling, and any goals or themes you’d like to work on. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right - there is no pressure. I may ask a few reflective questions to help us both understand whether I am the best fit for your needs.

The first session also gives you a feel for my way of working, and you can ask any questions about the counselling process, confidentiality, or practicalities.

After our initial meeting, you can decide whether you’d like to continue with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. There is no obligation - what matters most is that you find the right therapeutic match and feel supported from the very beginning.
