About me and my therapy practice

Above anything and everything else I offer myself in connection to you. Sitting beside you in what can feel overwhelming or too much, together we will find a way forward.

I am an integrative counsellor and have over over 15 years’ experience with children, young people and adult mental health supporting with varying issues and complex situations. Drawing from different models and offering a variety of styles within therapy means I can be more specific to you and your unique experience. Therapy can happen within the peaceful setting of the therapy room or beside nature if opting to experience eco therapy.

I am experienced with working with traumas, loss, challenges or when people simply need a space which exists only for them, and because of this variety I feel comfortable in taking on a wide range of challenging issues and feel open to discussing any area of life.

Practice description

I would describe my style as compassionate, any challenges that we need to walk through are done so gently but with strength. My biggest belief is that every person deserves the right to feel empowered within themselves and by offering the right therapeutic conditions this can be achieved for everyone. Blending therapies and approaches helps to create a holistic therapeutic experience for your comfort and healing.

I work by helping to offering practical, creative or spiritual interventions to help explore your sense of self and your experience, finding the right path for you.

This can be done through talking, walking, painting, imagery such as tarot or oracle card therapy amongst other ways.

I am fortunate to offer a large beautiful space with parking and I am trained to use nature as a co-therapist.

About me and my therapy practice

Above everything else, I am a person connecting with another person. Whether I am working with clients or supervisees, I believe that meaningful change begins in relationships. My role is to create a space where people feel safe enough to think, reflect, question and grow, while helping them better understand both themselves and their connections with others.

My supervision is grounded in a person-centred philosophy and informed by  a range of theories including attachment theory, T trauma-informed practice and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy). I work integratively, drawing on a range of approaches where they genuinely add value, but I always keep the relationship at the heart of the work rather than becoming led by models or techniques.

I aim to offer a balance of warmth and gentle challenge. I won't tell you who to be as a therapist; instead, I'll help you become more connected to the therapist you already are. Together we can explore ethical dilemmas, relational dynamics, theory, self-awareness and professional development in a way that feels thoughtful, authentic and relevant to your practice.

I have extensive experience working with children, young people and adults across schools, private practice and organisational settings, and I welcome supervisees from a range of backgrounds and levels of experience. Whatever stage of your professional journey you're at, my hope is that supervision becomes somewhere you feel supported, understood and able to think freely.

Practice description

I believe that supervision should be a place where you can bring your whole self, not just the parts that feel competent or confident. It is somewhere to celebrate what is going well, explore the moments that stay with you, think together about the clients who leave you feeling stuck, and be curious about what is happening both in the therapy room and within yourself.

Every supervisee is different, so I don't believe in a one and done approach. Some people enjoy exploring theory in depth, others think best through conversation, creativity or reflection. Together we find a way of working that feels authentic to you while ensuring ethical, thoughtful and effective practice remains at the centre of our work.

Alongside traditional supervision, I also offer the opportunity to work outdoors using nature as a facilitator for reflection, if this feels right for you. Sometimes stepping away from four walls and allowing the natural environment to slow our thinking can create space for fresh perspectives, deeper awareness and a different way of understanding ourselves and our work. There is never any expectation to work this way, but it is an option for supervisees who are curious about integrating nature into their reflective practice.

I welcome qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, trainees and professionals working in helping roles. My experience includes working with children, young people and adults in schools, private practice and community settings, giving me an understanding of the unique rewards and challenges different environments can bring.

Above all, I hope supervision feels like somewhere you can think freely, feel genuinely supported and leave with greater clarity, confidence and connection to yourself, your clients and the work you do.
