About me and my therapy practice
My name is Lisa, a qualified Integrative counsellor. I fully recognise that talking about what you are thinking and feeling can be daunting, and often turning to counselling can be seen as weak, embarrassing or just plain terrifying.
As someone passionate about the work I do, I am committed to destigmatising counselling, encouraging clients to recognise counselling as the ultimate in self-care. As well as being there for you at a point of crisis in your life, counselling can also be a means of prevention, enabling you to recognise when you are struggling.
Practice description
By exploring experiences and associated feelings in a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment, you can prevent things from escalating and becoming more serious. As you read this you may be feeling lonely, struggling with a relationship, or simply feeling dissatisfied with life; counselling can provide a space to explore your feelings, help you recognise what you need, make meaningful choices and move forward at a time when you may be feeling ‘stuck’.Please note I offer Online sessions ONLY

I recognise that the counselling 'room' environment can feel claustrophobic and uncomfortable for some, so I offer, where appropriate, in addition to face to face and online sessions, 'walk and talk' therapy sessions which take place in outdoor settings including beautiful forest surroundings. This way of providing therapy combines the conventional outcomes of indoor therapy with the recognised benefits of connecting with the natural world around us.

About me and my therapy practice
About My Supervision Practice
As an experienced, qualified therapist, I understand how vital a safe, robust, and stimulating supervisory relationship is to your clinical practice. I provide a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where both qualified practitioners and trainees can reflect deeply on their work, protect their well-being, and grow professionally.
My approach is integrative, meaning I adapt my supervision style to match your specific theoretical modality, experience level, and learning goals.
Practice description
My Supervision Model: The Seven-Eyed Model
In my practice, I utilize Hawkins and Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model of supervision. This systemic framework allows us to step back and look at your practice through multiple lenses:
• The Client: Focusing on the client’s presentation and history.
• The Interventions: Reflecting on the techniques and strategies you use.
• The Relationship: Exploring the conscious and unconscious dynamics between you and your client.
• The Therapist (You): Looking at your internal responses, countertransference, and well-being.
• The Supervisory Relationship: Evaluating the parallel process and dynamics happening between us.
• The Supervisor (Me): Utilizing my own internal reflections and observations to guide you.
• The Wider System: Considering the impact of organizational, cultural, and ethical contexts.
By exploring these seven distinct areas, we ensure that your practice remains ethically sound, relationally rich, and securely grounded.
Working with Trainees
I am highly passionate about supporting trainee counsellors. I understand the unique pressures of balancing coursework, placement hours, and clinical anxieties. I provide a nurturing environment where you can safely explore mistakes, build your therapeutic identity, and prepare for qualification.
