Availability
I currently offer flexible availability and aim to accommodate different schedules where possible. Appointments may be available during weekdays, with some flexibility around daytime and evening sessions depending on availability.
I offer sessions in person, online and outdoor Walk and Talk sessions where appropriate. Therapy can be provided in both English and Bulgarian.
If I am planning any periods of leave or extended time away from practice, I will update this section accordingly. Please feel free to contact me to discuss current availability and we can explore suitable options together.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred, trauma-informed counsellor offering a warm, grounded and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. I believe each person has an innate capacity for growth and healing when supported within a safe, authentic and trusting therapeutic relationship.
I have experience supporting women, young people, families and adults experiencing emotional distress, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, addiction-related experiences, life transitions, trauma and complex life challenges. My work across mental health, bereavement, family support and community settings has given me experience supporting people with a wide range of emotional and practical difficulties, including caring responsibilities, stress, burnout and the impact of difficult life experiences.
My approach is relational and person-centred, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I understand how past experiences can affect emotions, relationships, the body and everyday life, and I work in a way that recognises the lasting impact of trauma.
Alongside my core person-centred training, I have additional training and interests in creative approaches, ecotherapy, somatic awareness and wellbeing practices. Where appropriate, I may draw on these to support a more embodied and whole-person experience of therapy.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, including those experiencing challenges related to neurodiversity, chronic stress and caring roles. I can offer therapeutic support in both English and Bulgarian.
I also understand that not everyone feels comfortable sitting in a traditional therapy room, so I offer outdoor Walk and Talk sessions where appropriate. Many people find being in nature supportive and grounding, creating a different environment for reflection and therapeutic conversation.
Practice description
When you come to therapy, my aim is to offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever feels important to you. I understand that starting therapy can sometimes feel unfamiliar or difficult, and I work at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.
I offer person-centred counselling, which means I do not believe there is a “one size fits all” approach. Each person’s experiences, needs and goals are unique, so our work together is shaped around you. Some clients come with a specific issue they would like support with, while others may want space to understand themselves more deeply or make sense of difficult emotions and experiences.
I work in a trauma-informed and relational way, recognising how past experiences can influence emotional wellbeing, relationships and everyday life. Where appropriate, I may also draw on creative approaches, somatic awareness and wellbeing practices to support emotional expression and self-awareness.
I offer face-to-face, online and Walk and Talk therapy sessions where appropriate. Walk and Talk sessions take place in outdoor settings and may suit people who feel more comfortable moving, being in nature or engaging in therapy outside a traditional room setting.
I provide therapeutic support in both English and Bulgarian and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to gain from it. The focus will be on your needs, expectations and what feels most important for you at this stage.
I understand that beginning therapy can sometimes feel unfamiliar or anxiety-provoking, so I aim to create a safe and supportive space where you can talk at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no expectation to share more than you feel ready to.
I will explain how I work and what I can offer, and we will go through our therapy agreement, including confidentiality, boundaries and practical arrangements, so we have a clear and shared understanding of how we will work together.
You will also have space to ask questions and consider whether the way I work feels right for you, with no pressure to continue if it does not feel like a good fit.
