About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Ingried.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially when you have been carrying so much on your own. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, lost, or simply unsure of what to do next. Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to face it alone.
I offer a warm, calm, and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and be accepted as you are. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to find the right words. We can take things gently, at your own pace.
Together, we will explore what you are experiencing, understand what may be holding you back, and reconnect with the strength already within you. I will walk alongside you with compassion, honesty, and genuine care as you begin to heal, grow, and move forward.
My hope is that our work will help you feel more confident, emotionally stronger, and better able to create balance and positive change in your life.
If you feel ready to take that first step, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey.
Practice description
I work integratively, which means I adapt the way I work to suit you rather than using one approach for everyone. Depending on your needs, our work may include exploring past experiences, understanding recurring patterns, developing practical coping strategies, setting meaningful goals, or focusing on solutions for the present.
Our first session gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with, and what you hope to gain from our work. We can then agree on a focus while remaining flexible as your needs develop.
Therapy is collaborative. I may offer gentle reflections, ask thoughtful questions, or introduce practical tools to help you understand yourself and your situation more clearly. We will review our work regularly to ensure that therapy continues to feel helpful and relevant to you.
I support adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, life transitions, and feeling stuck. Sessions are available online, allowing you to access therapy from a private and comfortable place.
My first session
I offer a free quick 15-minute introductory chat, giving us an opportunity to connect and see whether working together feels right for you. We can briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain from therapy, and the approach that may best suit your needs. You are also welcome to ask any questions you may have.
During your first full session, we will explore your reasons for seeking counselling in greater depth and discuss what you would like to focus on. I will explain our therapeutic agreement, including boundaries, confidentiality and its limits, so that you feel fully informed before we begin working together.
You will also be invited to complete a brief assessment form. This will help me understand your current needs and ensure that the support I offer is appropriate for you. There is no pressure to share everything at once we will begin with what feels most important and comfortable for you..
