About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling a bit off lately?

Maybe you’re not in a full-blown crisis, but something’s shifted. You feel anxious, low, tired, or just not quite like yourself.

Perhaps you’re going through a life transition, struggling with self-worth, or carrying pain that hasn’t been fully processed. Whatever you’re facing, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and find your footing, so you can begin to feel like yourself again.

I’m Jennifer, an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and qualified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist (Level 1 and 2 Trained; currently pursuing advanced Certification).

I’m a Full Clinical Member of UKCP and a Registered member of BACP.

Some areas I support clients with include:

• Trauma and complex trauma

• Anxiety and depression

• Grief and loss

• Low self-worth and identity issues

• Relationship difficulties and life transitions

• Expat experiences and cross-cultural identity

• Self-harm and suicidal thoughts

• Experiences of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse

Practice description

How I Work

I’m an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and a qualified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist (Level 1 and 2 Trained, currently pursuing advanced Certification).

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I offer a space where you can be yourself — no need to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll go at your pace. I’ll listen carefully, offer gentle challenges where helpful, and bring tools that support insight and change.

Although my Integrative training spans several approaches (Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Person-Centred, Existential, and Transpersonal), the heart of my work is Internal Family Systems — a proven model that sees us as made up of different “parts.” Think of the film 'Inside Out 'as a reference point: your inner world includes a mix of voices, feelings, and roles that may sometimes clash or feel overwhelming.

IFS helps you meet those parts with curiosity, not criticism–so you can move toward more clarity, confidence, and calm. And while much of our therapy involves talking, we might also use creative tools like imagery, dreams, or drawing, especially if some parts of you find it hard to put things into words.

You can find more information about IFS on my website:

https://www.jenniferpirtle.com/internal-family-systems-therapy-in-london

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in media, events, and the creative industries–both in the US and UK, so I understand the demands of high-pressure work environments and what it’s like to feel pulled in different directions.

My first session

Before we have an initial session, I invite you to book a free 15-minute phone call here: https://calendly.com/jenniferpirtle

Our call is an informal way to discuss what's bringing you to therapy at this time, talk about what you're hoping to gain from therapy, and a way for you to ask questions and find out more about how I work.

If we decide to work together, we'll meet weekly, either in person or online. My weekly session fee ranges from £90 to £115 for a 50-minute therapy session, whether in-person or online. I offer a sliding scale pricing model, so you can choose a rate that fits your financial situation. Initial consultations are priced with the same model.
