I'm based in London Bridge at The Practice Rooms, 2 Union Street, SE1 1SZ - a short walk from London Bridge station. I see clients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (in person or online, daytime only) and Friday mornings (online only). I also work with clients across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
About me and my therapy practice
Something feels off, but you can't quite name it. Maybe you're functioning fine on the outside while carrying something heavier underneath - anxiety that won't settle, patterns that keep repeating, or pain from the past that still shows up in your relationships and daily life. It doesn't have to stay this way.
I'm Jennifer, a UKCP/BACP registered Integrative Psychotherapist and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, working with adults in person at London Bridge and online across the UK and Europe. My approach is depth-oriented, warm, and direct - I'll meet you where you are, with gentle challenge when it's useful.
Some areas I work with:
- Anxiety and depression
- Low self-worth and identity issues
- Relationship difficulties and life transitions
- Grief and loss
- Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
- Experiences of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse
- Expat experiences and cross-cultural identity
Practice description
How I work
The heart of my work is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, woven into a broader Integrative frame that draws on Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Gestalt, Existential, and Transpersonal approaches. IFS works with the different parts of you that have developed over time - protectors, critics, younger wounded parts - meeting them with curiosity and compassion rather than trying to silence them. Our sessions may also draw on imagery, dreams, or other creative methods when words aren't quite enough.
I work in a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ friendly, and neurodivergent-informed way, including with clients with ADHD and autism.
Originally from the US, I've lived in the UK for over 25 years - so I understand first-hand what it means to build a life somewhere that isn't quite home, and the particular questions of identity and belonging that come with it. Before becoming a therapist I spent 20 years as a journalist and magazine editor, which shapes how I work: I ask good questions, I listen carefully, and I don't shy away from complexity.
I am a Full Clinical Member of UKCP and a Registered Member of BACP, and I am currently training as a Clinical Supervisor through Relational Change.

My first session
Before we meet for an initial session, I invite you to book a free 30-minute consultation call via my website. This is an informal conversation - a chance to talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and to ask any questions about how I work. There's no pressure to have everything figured out before you reach out.
If we decide to work together, we'll meet weekly, either in person or online. My fee is £90-£115 for a 60-minute session on a sliding scale - choose the rate that honestly reflects what you can manage right now. If you're unsure where you fall, we can talk it through on our consultation call.
