About me and my therapy practice
A safe space to feel heard, understood and accepted
Perhaps you've spent a long time being there for everyone else, and now you're wondering who is there for you.
Maybe you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in your thoughts. You might be struggling with confidence, putting other people's needs before your own, or feeling you've lost sight of who you are.
Perhaps you're coping with bereavement, loss or a significant life change.
Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to figure it all out alone.
I'm Stacy, a warm, compassionate and approachable counsellor. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what's happening for you, without being told what you should do.
My core training is in Person-Centred Therapy, so you are at the heart of our work. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen with empathy and help you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
I also draw on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy when appropriate, helping you identify what you'd like to change and the steps that may help you move forward.
Bereavement and grief are particular areas of my work, including anticipatory grief when you or someone you love is living with a life-limiting illness.
You don't need to know exactly what you want from counselling. We can work that out together.
Practice description
Counselling at your pace
I offer online counselling for adults, with 50-minute sessions costing £45.
I provide open-ended counselling, meaning there is no fixed number of sessions. We can regularly review how things are going and decide together what feels right for you.
I generally recommend weekly sessions initially, giving us the opportunity to build trust and create a safe space for our work. Sessions can become less frequent as things progress.
I work with a range of concerns, including:
• Anxiety, overthinking and stress
• Low mood
• Bereavement, grief and loss
• Relationship difficulties
• Self-esteem and confidence
• People-pleasing and boundaries
• Life changes and transitions
• Feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself
You don't have to be in crisis to seek counselling. Sometimes we simply reach a point where the way we've been coping no longer feels sustainable.
I won't tell you what you should do or make decisions for you. I'll support you to understand yourself, explore what you need and find your own way forward.
I also offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for whether I might be the right counsellor for you. There's no pressure to book.

In our first session, we'll go through my counselling agreement, including confidentiality and how I work. I'll invite you to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you'd like support with.

You can take your time. We don't have to rush into anything you're not ready to talk about.
The relationship between counsellor and client is an important part of therapy, so the first session is also an opportunity for you to decide whether working with me feels right for you.
