About me and my therapy practice
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck?
You might overthink conversations long after they've ended, struggle with self-doubt, find it difficult to switch off, or wonder why everyday life seems to feel harder for you than it does for everyone else.
Many of the people I work with have spent years putting themselves last, questioning their own worth, or feeling as though they have to work harder just to feel "good enough". Together, we'll take time to understand what's happened, make sense of your experiences, and explore what you need rather than what you think you should be doing.
I support adults experiencing:
- Anxiety, overwhelm and burnout
- Low mood and low self-esteem
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Bereavement and loss
- Trauma and the impact of difficult past experiences
- Work-related stress
- Identity, including race, culture, sexuality and gender
- Neurodiversity, including ADHD and the challenges that can come with it
I'm Fran, a BACP-registered counsellor offering face-to-face counselling in Ludlow, Shropshire, and online across the UK. I have a particular interest in supporting adults exploring neurodiversity, including ADHD, informed by additional training through a Certificate in Adult ADHD.
Whether you're facing a specific difficulty or simply want to understand yourself better, you don't have to work it all out on your own. If you think we might be a good fit, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
Practice description

My first session
Our first session will be an assessment session. This gives us both the opportunity to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to counselling. I'll ask some questions about your current difficulties, personal history, relationships, physical and mental health, and any previous experiences of therapy. We'll also complete some brief wellbeing questionnaires to help us understand how you're feeling at the moment and provide a useful baseline for our work together.
This session also gives us the opportunity to consider whether I'm the right therapist for you and whether the support you're looking for falls within my areas of competence. Together, we'll discuss what you hope to gain from counselling and agree on the focus of our work, should we decide to continue. There is no obligation to commit to further sessions following the assessment.
