About me and my therapy practice

OVERWHELMED by study, research, work, or worries about the future?

STRUGGLING to get started, finished, or feeling like an imposter?

PARALYSED by anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, or numbing out with eating issues/ addictive behaviours?

UNSURE about who you are, your relationships, career, or what makes you happy?

WONDERING if you might be neurodivergent, sensitive or “different” somehow?

Perhaps it's time to talk to someone who understands your world?

I started my private practice because I could see students, researchers, and recent graduates struggling with their work, identity and relationships. This left them feeling overwhelmed trying to juggle it all, battling anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or eating/ addiction issues, and questioning whether they might be neurodivergent, or “different” somehow. But it’s possible to find confidence, control and alignment with your work and relationships with the right support in place.

With over 15 years experience working with university and college students including mature, international and non-typical students- alongside personal experience as a PhD student and early career academic- I know how disorienting and unnerving these life changes can be. I know how easy it is to question your choices and capabilities and feel overawed by your future. I can help you re-find your power, clarity and joy.

Practice description

I help struggling students, researchers & graduates to take stock and discover their personal power, so they feel in control of their work, joyful in their relationships, and confident in who they are.

In my counselling career I have supported many clients to let go of overwhelm, anxiety and low self- esteem, and replace patterns that don't serve them with a lifestyle that honours their talents, energy- level and values. I’d love to help you too. I am a BACP registered counsellor, trauma trained and with specialist training and experience supporting ASD and ADHD students. Previous clients have said sessions have helped them look honestly, deeply and kindly at themselves and find relief, direction and confidence going forward.

Don't hesitate to reach out for a free 30 minute phone chat.

I look forward to hearing from you!

My first session

I offer clients a choice between 60 minute or 90 minute sessions in our routine meetings.

However, our initial consultation will 60 minutes long and will be more structured than normal sessions. Please ensure you are in a comfortable, quiet space for our meeting.

I will ask you some questions about your current struggle, some details about your past, and hear what you hope to get from our work together. There is also opportunity to ask any questions, and air any hopes or fears that might be important to share.
