About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified counsellor, final year trainee Counselling Psychologist, and Lecturer in Psychology. I offer counselling sessions in London Bridge, Soho, and online. My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor evidence-based therapies to individual needs by drawing on my knowledge of psychodynamic therapies, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy and mindfulness. I have worked with people experiencing a broad range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety and panic attacks, stress, OCD, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, past and current, burnout and work-related stress, loss, grief, and bereavement, disordered eating and trauma.

I believe that counselling has the potential to be transformative when experiencing these difficulties. I also believe that counselling is not only reserved for times of distress. It can be a space to navigate life transitions and to gain deeper knowledge of one’s self and values.

I hold a research doctorate (PhD) in Psychology from the University of Glasgow where I studied brief mindfulness-based strategies for regulating food cravings. My academic background allows me to understand and critically evaluate the evidence base for a range of therapies. I then integrate this knowledge into my clinical practice.

I have worked in a range of clinical settings, including charities, university counselling services (University of Oxford, University of Reading), and NHS secondary care (eating disorders).

Practice description

My practice is rooted in my commitment to offer a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space that facilitates reduced psychological distress and an enhanced sense of wellbeing. Our work may be more exploratory or solution-focused depending on needs and preferences, yet it will always have an underlying relational emphasis. This may allow us to use our therapeutic relationship as a mirror to understand how you relate to yourself and others.

I offer short-term, long-term, and open-ended counselling, considering the nature of your concerns and needs. I believe that counselling is a collaborative endeavour; we bring together your self-knowledge with my personal and clinical knowledge to generate meaningful understanding, insight and growth.
