I am currently taking on clients for in-person and online counselling. I can provide face-to-face sessions at the Psychosynthesis Trust, near London Bridge Station, or online Zoom sessions during the day or evening.

About me and my therapy practice

As every client is different, I believe in having different approaches to counselling to fit the needs of each person and have worked with clients from various backgrounds and cultures. Although I identify as male, I value feminine qualities of myself, which I see as essential for the empathic work of counselling and assist me in working with clients with LGBTQIA+ identities as well as those with heterosexual identities.

I trained on a variety of transpersonal counselling courses, including an advanced psychosynthesis course, and qualified in psychosynthesis counselling because of an affinity with its holistic approach to working with clients. The training has heightened my awareness and work and continues to assist me in being present and responsive to the interactive environment of every session with clients, as well as accepting and being curious and caring about clients and what they uniquely bring.

Practice description

I will work empathically and interrelationally with you to explore your reasons for coming to counselling and any resolutions or changes you wish to reflect on, and will fully support you throughout that process. I will regularly conduct reviews to check how our time together is working, and if it meets your needs or requires adapting, reassessing or expanding.

As no two clients are the same or have the same needs, you will find me open and accepting of what you bring to sessions, such as past beliefs and experiences and how they may still be influencing you, or focusing solely on what is happening now in your life.

I will provide a therapeutic healing space for you to explore and reflect upon your well-being. Together, we may look at issues of loss, abuse, discrimination, abandonment, or matters concerning sexuality and gender. You may wish to do a minimum of six sessions or require longer, which will supply you with more time to go deeper and process more fully what emerges in sessions. The work will aim to assist you in integrating and embodying what you need to make wholesome choices and for bringing about healthy changes.

I will have your best interest at heart. If for any reason you feel we are not compatible or you require more specialist help, I will suggest exploring the possibility of a referral.

My first session

After requesting counselling, I will arrange a convenient day and time for us to meet in person or online where, as part of the first session, we can complete a counselling agreement, which will supply me with an overview of your reasons for coming. It will also give you an understanding of my responsibilities, such as abiding by the BACP’s ethical standards. In the first session, we will discuss your main presenting issue and any safety procedures that may need to be in place for online sessions. By the end of your first session, you should feel reassured that we will work at a pace that is right for you and in a space where you can openly talk and share your feelings.
