About me and my therapy practice
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why things feel harder than they should. Perhaps your thoughts feel tangled, your confidence has taken a knock, or familiar patterns keep showing up in your relationships. If this resonates, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to make sense of it all by yourself.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD burnout, grief and bereavement, relationship difficulties, domestic abuse recovery, people-pleasing patterns, and the emotional impact of chronic illness. Many feel emotionally exhausted from coping alone and want a safe space to understand themselves more clearly.
I support people through grief and loss, including bereavement, divorce, relationship breakdowns, job loss, and other major life changes. I also work with survivors of domestic abuse and those who struggle with boundaries or people-pleasing patterns that are difficult to change alone.
Alongside my training, I bring an understanding of chronic illness informed by my lived experience of endometriosis. I recognise how ongoing health conditions can affect identity, confidence, relationships, and daily life in ways that are often unseen.
I am trained in the person-centred approach, which means the therapeutic relationship is central to my work. I offer a warm, empathetic, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and at your own pace. My wider training in psychodynamic and systemic perspectives informs how I understand the impact of past experiences and relationships.
I offer face-to-face counselling in Rainhill, Merseyside, as well as online and telephone counselling across the UK. I previously worked within an NHS-commissioned counselling service for five years.
Reaching out can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to coping alone. My aim is to help you feel supported and understood, so we can gently untangle what feels overwhelming and find a way forward that feels right for you.
