About me and my therapy practice
Life can feel overwhelming at times—for adults and young people alike. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, low mood, the effects of difficult experiences, or simply feeling stuck and unsure where to turn or how to move forward, therapy can provide a safe space to explore what's happening and find a way forward. If you're looking for support for your teenager, they may be experiencing similar challenges.
Whatever it is that has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone. I offer a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I believe that that no-one knows more about your story than you do. My role is not to tell you who you are or what you should do. Instead, I work alongside you with gentle curiosity, compassion, and respect, helping you make sense of your experiences and discover the strengths and resources that are already within you. I am here to hold a space in which you feel safe enough to explore and untangle those difficult parts of life. I will meet you where you are, and I offer a calm, welcoming, and confidential space where you can begin to make sense of what’s going on for you, without any pressure or judgement.
Whether you are reaching out for yourself or for your teen, you can expect:
• A warm, compassionate and non-judgemental environment
• A safe space to talk openly and be heard
• Support at a pace that feels comfortable for your individual needs
Reaching out can feel like a big step - but you don’t have to face things alone.
If you’d like to find out more or arrange an initial conversation, please get in touch, I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call if requested.
Practice description
As a fully qualified and insured psychotherapist and counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work with both teenagers and adults. I have worked in mental health for over 15 years and have worked with children and young people in both support and coaching capacities since 2008. This breadth of experience enables me to work confidently with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, tailoring therapy to each person's individual needs.
My training is firmly rooted in the Person-Centred approach, and this is my core foundation as a therapist. This means I take the time to, not just listen, but to truly hear you and understand what matters most to you or your young person.
Over the years I have developed a broad range of knowledge, skills and experience through both my clinical work and continued professional development. While I am predominantly a talking therapist, I also draw upon creative approaches where these feel helpful and appropriate for the individual.
.I have a special interest in trauma work and attachment within my practice. As a qualified Trauma-Informed practitioner, I have undertaken extensive additional training to deepen my understanding of how relationships and traumatic experiences can shape emotional wellbeing. I have developed the knowledge and skills to work with adults and young people in a gentle, compassionate, and respectful way. I recognise that past experiences can have a profound and lasting impact, and my aim is to create a safe, supportive space where healing and meaningful change can take place in a way that feels comfortable for you.
I have extensive experience supporting young people experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety, whether related to exams, school, friendships, significant life events, or the challenges of navigating adolescence and early adulthood in an increasingly demanding world.
