About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Boguslawa, though many people know me as Bee.
My journey into becoming a therapist has been shaped by my own life experiences. Growing up, I faced a number of challenges during my childhood and adolescence. At that time, I coped in the only way I knew how—by being strong and pushing my own feelings aside. While this helped me manage in the moment, it was only later in life that I began to understand the emotional impact of holding so much inside.
Shame played a significant role in my early life. Through personal therapy, I have come to understand the impact that shame had on me and acknowledge the role it played in my resilience. I share this as I understand how difficult it can feel to take the first step and ask for support.
These experiences have profoundly shaped my work as a therapist and importance of creating a safe space where emotions can be expressed, understood without judgement. I believe that emotional expression, including tears, is a natural and healthy part of the healing journey.
If you have ever felt that you should cope alone, or that asking for help feels frightening or uncomfortable, you are not alone. In my work, I offer a safe, gentle, and non-judgemental space where you can go at your own pace, speak freely, or simply sit with what feels hard—without pressure or expectation.
Life can present us with difficult and unexpected challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of how to move forward. As an Integrative Counsellor, I offer a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace and begin to make sense of your experiences.
I work with both women and men, providing a respectful, compassionate, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where you feel heard and supported.
Practice description
Experience and Specialisms
My specialist experience is in working with trauma and sexual abuse. I have over five years’ experience supporting clients through their individual healing journeys, helping them to understand the impact of trauma on their lives while offering trauma-informed and compassionate support.
While trauma and sexual abuse are my main areas of focus, I also support clients who have experienced a wide range of life difficulties. I have previously worked with individuals affected by drug and alcohol addiction, which has given me insight into the complex emotional pain that often underlies addictive behaviours. This experience has reinforced my belief that change is possible, and that healing can occur when individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered.
In addition, I work with clients experiencing depression, loss, low self-esteem, and emotional distress, offering a supportive space to explore these challenges and develop greater self-understanding and resilience.
How I Work
My approach is integrative, warm, and empathetic. I work collaboratively, recognising that every client’s experiences and needs are unique. I place great importance on building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, allowing space to explore difficult emotions and experiences in a way that feels manageable and supportive for you.
