About me and my therapy practice
Many people come to therapy appearing capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. This can feel isolating, especially if you’ve carried it quietly for a long time.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and the effects of trauma. Many clients are high-functioning yet feel unsettled, self-critical, or emotionally shut down. Others arrive with a general sense that something does not feel right, even if they cannot yet put it into words. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what is happening, and begin reconnecting with yourself.
My approach is integrative, relational, and collaborative. I tailor the work to each individual rather than using a fixed method. I emphasise emotional safety, careful pacing, and the therapeutic relationship. Sessions are guided by what feels most relevant for you, allowing space to explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, and lived experience in a contained way.
I work with both emotional experience and understanding, supporting insight while helping you develop ways to regulate, ground, and respond differently to challenges. Therapy with me is not about quick solutions or being told what to do, but about creating space for reflection, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
Choosing a therapist is as much about the relationship as the approach. I offer a calm, grounded, and thoughtful way of working, combining warmth with clarity. Clients value feeling genuinely listened to without judgement or pressure, while being supported to understand patterns with compassion and steadiness. For those who want to explore things carefully, therapy with me offers a contained and supportive space.
I hold an MSc in Counselling and work in line with BACP ethical standards. Whether you seek support for a specific difficulty or a general sense of being stuck, therapy can provide a place to feel met, understood, and supported.
Practice description
I am dedicated to empowering individuals to overcome obstacles, discover their inner resilience, and thrive in life. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, providing a supportive space where you can explore and address your challenges.
I bring training in a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor sessions to your unique needs:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, developing healthier ways of coping.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): Focuses on your goals and strengths, helping you find practical solutions and progress quickly.
Person-Centered Therapy (PCT): Creates a non-judgmental, accepting environment to foster self-discovery and personal growth.
Behavioral Therapy (BT): Addresses specific behaviors and develops practical strategies for change.
Psychoanalytical Therapy: Explores unconscious patterns and past experiences to understand their impact on your present life.
Narrative Therapy: Helps you reframe the stories you tell about your life, aligning them with your values and aspirations.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches: Supports awareness, grounding, and emotional regulation in the present moment.
By integrating these approaches, I offer a flexible and comprehensive therapy experience that meets you where you are. Together, we will work collaboratively to develop strategies and insights that address your concerns, whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or seeking personal growth.

My first session
Your first session with me is an opportunity to get to know each other and understand what brings you to therapy. It’s a chance to explore your goals, discuss your current challenges, and begin thinking about the ways therapy can support you. My aim is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood from the very start.
During this session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking support, explore your experiences, and identify what you hope to achieve in therapy. I may ask you a few initial questions to help me understand your situation, but there is no pressure to share anything you are not ready to discuss. The focus is on establishing trust and helping you feel comfortable with the process.
I offer a standard rate of £60 for the first session, with a concession rate of £50 available for those who qualify. The first session is structured like a typical therapy session, but with an emphasis on understanding your needs, outlining how I work, and answering any questions you may have about therapy.
This session is your opportunity to see whether we feel like a good fit and to begin exploring the support that is right for you. I aim to provide a clear, compassionate, and professional experience that sets the foundation for a productive and empowering therapeutic relationship.
