About me and my therapy practice
Hi I’m Francesca Myles (BAhons, PGcert, MBACP, Associate BAAT, & Creative Counsellors CIC member)
I’m an online Integrative Arts Counsellor offering online counselling for adults (18+). My practice often resonates with women, LGBTQ+ clients, young adults, people living with chronic health conditions, and those exploring identity, belonging, or neurodivergence — though everyone is welcome.
With lived experience of chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, disability, caregiving, and being part of a neurodivergent family, I bring a compassionate, grounded understanding to this work.
My practice is disability‑confident, inclusive, and shaped by a deep respect for the diverse ways people move through the world.
I offer a calm, relational space where you can express yourself in ways that feel natural — through words, images, metaphor, or sensory exploration that connects you to your body and the creative outlets you’re drawn to.
"Where words fail, art speaks"
Together, we’ll gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface and support you in moving toward a more grounded, connected version of yourself.
Practice description
My work is shaped by a blend of professional training, lived experience, and many years supporting people through complex emotional, physical, and social challenges. This helps me meet my clients with sensitivity, flexibility, and a deep respect for the different ways people move through the world.
We'd work together to help you navigate your emotions, relationships, and personal challenges using a variety of art forms of your choice. We can find the best way for you to express yourself and understand your feelings together through words, imagery, metaphor, movement, or creative expression.
I hold an inclusive, trauma‑informed, neurodivergent‑affirming approach, and I’m committed to making therapy accessible for people who may have struggled to access support in the past.
For many people, online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. It can help you manage work/life/family balance, support access due to disability or health, and be cost-effective without the need to travel to a venue. You can also be comfortable at home when we work together.
My first session
Book a free 20‑minute initial call. This gives us a chance to meet, talk through what you’re looking for, and see whether I’m the right fit for your needs.
If we decide to continue, I'll book you in for a first session which is called an assessment session.
During this meeting, we’ll gently explore your mental health history, your previous experiences of therapy, and what you’re hoping for now. I send the questions in advance and I’ll also share a consent‑to‑therapy agreement for you to read through.
If we both feel that Creative Counselling would support you, my fee is £60 for a 1‑hour session.*
I offer a reduced rate of £50 for 18–25 year olds, therapy students, and those receiving certain benefits.
Most clients choose to meet weekly or fortnightly. We can work together long‑term or for an agreed number of sessions — this is always led by you. As a starting point, I usually suggest booking six sessions and then reviewing together how you’re finding the work and what you’d like to focus on moving forward.
