About me and my therapy practice

Specialist therapy for autistic adults in Chalfont St Giles, near Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, and online across the UK and Ireland. Burnout recovery, masking reduction and workplace support for late-diagnosed autistic and AuDHD professionals.

So you have made it. Respected career, financial security, perhaps a family. But you feel exhausted, angry and hollow inside, wondering what's wrong with you. Rumination makes self-hatred simmer.

You're managing relentless demands at work and home. You crave solitude like oxygen. But there's no time, no space. Ever. And it feels like a prison sentence.

You need silence. You ask yourself: will I ever feel joy again?

Peace, authentic connection and rediscovering purpose...It's possible.

WHO I AM

I'm Lii, an autistic therapist and doctoral researcher. Also a data analyst and a mother of three.

I understand your world. The murky and unnecessary office politics, the sensory assault of open-plan layouts, the exhaustion of constant masking, being highly competent while feeling you're failing at life.

HOW I WORK

I help you:

  • Recover from autistic burnout
  • Reduce masking safely
  • Manage anxiety, depression and rumination
  • Navigate workplace challenges and neurotypical expectations
  • Repair relationships strained by anger or shutdown
  • Support adjustment after late autism or ADHD diagnosis
  • Rediscover joy, purpose and authentic connection
  • Build sustainable routines

Structured, goal-oriented, practical, with tangible changes in sight. I work with your autistic strengths, not against them.

What clients say:

"I came to Lii for support to cope with burnout associated with constant masking and social difficulties in a high-pressure professional environment. Lii identified my deep-rooted need for self-compassion and approached sessions with kindness and pragmatism. I am very grateful to have found Lii." (H., lawyer)

Practice description

Person-centred and solution-focused therapy designed for analytical minds.

I will explore your concern with you. Together we will break it down into component parts, analyse their significance, work out what role you want that particular subject to play in your future and how to get there.

For example, you might be feeling trapped. You may wish to be free and have a new beginning, try new things, have a future markedly different in a positive way from your present. How do you make it happen?

  • My first question is likely to be: what does that future look like, in vivid detail?
  • Now that you have a compelling image of your desired outcome, let's engineer the process of achieving it, bearing in mind your existing resources.

Therapy sessions are offered outside of the standard office hours to suit busy schedules.

I have professional indemnity insurance, handle your personal data in line with the legislation and have an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) certificate, confirming a clear record.

What clients say:

"It's VERY rare to find somebody very down to earth, actually understands what is being discussed at a personal, lived level vs purely academic level with a very open, honest and personable counsellor." (A., I.T. professional)

My first session

I will try to respond to your initial query within 24 hours. The usual sequence after that is:
  • introductory video or audio call to discuss what you are looking for
  • email follow-up from me with a summary of the therapy I offer
  • first session to delve into the detail of your best hopes from therapy
  • further weekly/fortnightly sessions on an open-ended basis

The first session is about us getting to know each other and clarifying your goals. You are always in control of what is discussed and how many sessions you have.

What clients say:

"Of course the sessions themselves were always a constructive and comfortable place to develop my understanding of what I was experiencing which was really useful - but I think the big thing I noticed was that I could actually apply what we had spoken about outside of sessions. It’s helped me change my perspective on certain situations and I have practical advice I can continue to use and build on even though my therapy series is over!" (K., healthcare professional)
