About me and my therapy practice

I understand, finding the right counsellor is personal, and it's important to feel heard, understood, and safe.

As a professional, registered, person-centred/humanistic counsellor, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings openly, and at their own pace.

I have experience of working with clients across multiple settings, such as specialist counselling services, multi-disciplinary teams and education environments, as well as private practice. In my practice I have supported clients of all ages with various mental health difficulties and emotional distress. I've also worked with numerous neurodiverse clients, many of whom have faced difficulties navigating a world largely designed for neurotypical individuals.

I specialise in trauma counselling, anxiety management, attachment disorder, bereavement and loss, and working with neurodiverse clients. I am trained in mindful and somatic practices that help calm the nervous system and support therapeutic work. I have a significant amount of experience working with children and adolescents (aged 10-18yrs), and I also work with adults.

Practice description

My practice is rooted in humanistic, or person centred, counselling, which places your experiences and perspective at the heart of the therapeutic process. In addition to this I utilise aspects of other therapeutic modalities to enhance the work we do together, tailoring the therapy to meet your individual needs.

Where appropriate, I use creative and somatic therapy practices, alongside mindfulness-based interventions such as grounding, body scans and breathwork. This holistic approach helps clients navigate their feelings and challenges in a way that honours their whole self — mind, body, and spirit.

My therapeutic work with children and young people is grounded in creative, play-based opportunities that foster self-discovery and expression, allowing them to explore their inner lives in a manner that feels natural and engaging. Alongside this, I incorporate psychoeducation to help demystify emotions and behaviours, empowering young clients with knowledge and tools for resilience. By nurturing strong, trusting therapeutic relationships, I provide a foundation of safety and acceptance, ensuring each child or adolescent feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey.

I offer both long and short term one-to-one sessions via face-to-face or online therapy.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and taking the first step towards counselling is an act of courage. If you have any questions about my approach or would like to discuss how we might work together, please feel free to get in touch. I am always happy to offer an initial conversation to help you decide whether my services are the right fit for you. Your journey is unique, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
