About me and my therapy practice

My name is Nisa and I am a psychotherapist working with adult individuals online.

People start therapy for many different reasons. You may feel dissatisfied or distressed, want to explore the past, process difficult life events, achieve new goals or just learn more about yourself. Psychotherapy can be a life-changing experience.

To facilitate self-awareness, I place particular attention in developing a trusting, safe and collaborative relationship. In this supportive environment, we will work as a team to develop a shared understanding of your difficulties and identify how these difficulties affect your thoughts, beliefs, behaviours, feelings and daily functioning.

Practice description

My approach to therapy is Integrative, meaning I pull on a range of tools from different modalities to fit my client's unique circumstances. I draw from different psychological modalities, including relational, psychodynamic, and existential.

Ultimately, my main focus is you, and for this reason I tailor the type of therapy to the individuals’ needs and presenting issues.

Whilst not limited to, below are examples of client issues I have helped with:

- Relationship issues (whether romantic, family, colleagues, friends)

- Complex family and marital dynamics

- Trauma and cPTSD

- Helping clients establish a stronger sense of self, while working on lack of confidence and low self esteem

- Anger management

- Anxiety and depression

- Processing major life events

I offer a sliding scale fee of £45-£50, pay what you can afford.

My first session

Our first meeting will be a short, free online session which will consist of understanding your reasons for wanting therapy and jointly deciding whether we can work well together.

The more open and honest you are the greater the eventual benefit is likely to be for you. You will be encouraged to ask questions, so it may be a good idea to think carefully about what you would like to know, your expectations from therapy and how we can best work together. If you are new to therapy and don't know what to expect, that is ok too, we will be working together to establish your therapeutic goals.

Subsequent sessions will be on a weekly basis. These sessions will generally be on the same day and at the same time each week.

If we decide it is a good fit for us to work together, I will email over my contract where more specific details are written around the framework of us working together.

About me and my therapy practice

My name is Nisa and I am a psychotherapist working with adult individuals, both online and face to face.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may feel dissatisfied or distressed, want to explore your past, process difficult life experiences, work towards personal goals, or develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Psychotherapy can be a meaningful and sometimes life-changing process.

I place particular importance on developing a safe, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Within this space, we work together to build a shared understanding of your difficulties, including how they affect your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationships.

My speciality is helping people understand and change relationship patterns shaped by early attachment, trauma, and emotional experience.

Practice description

My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I draw on a range of perspectives to shape the work around you and your individual situation. I’m particularly influenced by relational, psychodynamic, and existential approaches, though you don’t need to know anything about these — I’ll always explain things in a way that feels clear, relevant, and grounded in your experience.

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel personal and collaborative. Rather than following a fixed model, I aim to adapt the work to your pace, your experiences, and what you’re going through, creating a space where you can think more freely and begin to understand yourself in new ways.

I have experience supporting people with a range of difficulties, including:

Relationship difficulties (romantic, family, friendships, and work relationships)

Complex family or marital dynamics

Trauma and complex trauma (cPTSD)

Difficulties with self-esteem, identity, and sense of self

Anger and managing strong emotions

Anxiety and depression

Processing significant life events and transitions

I offer a sliding scale fee of £45–£60, depending on what feels manageable for you.
