About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma or simply feeling stuck, therapy offers a space where you don't have to face those challenges alone.
I'm Becky, founder of Evolve Wellbeing and an Integrative Counsellor. I believe every person is unique, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences, make sense of what's happening, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.
I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Together we'll work towards greater self-understanding, healthier ways of coping and increased confidence.
As an Integrative Counsellor I draw upon Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Coaching, tailoring therapy to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit one particular approach.
Above all, I believe meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted, and I aim to provide a therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion and respect.
Practice description
I work with adults, teenagers (13+) and young people, who may be experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional abuse, self-harm and life transitions.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Bereavement Counsellor supporting children and young people who have experienced the death of someone important in their lives. I also have previous experience counselling adults and young people through Relationships Wessex. These roles, together with ongoing professional development, have enabled me to support clients with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
I have developed particular experience supporting autistic and ADHD clients, those exploring a diagnosis, parents of neurodivergent children, and individuals navigating neurodivergent relationships. My aim is to offer a space where people feel understood rather than judged.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), work within its Ethical Framework, hold full professional indemnity insurance and an Enhanced DBS certificate, and remain committed to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Below is a list of my training and qualifications to date:
- CPCAB Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Young People

My first session
1. Reassurance
Reaching out for counselling can feel like one of the hardest steps, so I aim to make our first meeting as relaxed and comfortable as possible.
Many people tell me they worry about saying the wrong thing or not knowing where to begin. Please don't worry. There is no expectation for you to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about. Our first meeting is simply an opportunity to get to know one another, explore what has brought you to counselling, and see whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
2. Adult consultation
I offer adult clients a free 20-minute introductory consultation. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and to explore whether we feel comfortable working together..
3. Young people
Young people begin with a 40-minute assessment session at a reduced fee of £30. This helps me understand their needs, explain how counselling works, and ensure they feel safe and comfortable before beginning ongoing therapy.
If you would like to book an Initial Assessment for your child, please contact me directly to discuss.
4. Fees ⭐
Adults (daytime): £55
Adults (after 6pm): £60
Young People 13–17 (daytime): £60
Young People 13–17 (after 6pm): £65
Concessionary rates are available for trainee counsellors, NHS staff, college and university students, low-income families and those who are unemployed.
5. Ongoing sessions
If we decide to work together, counselling sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly.
6. No obligation
There is absolutely no obligation following an initial consultation. Finding the right therapist is important, and I encourage clients to choose someone they feel comfortable working with.
