About me and my therapy practice
Hello there. I work in a person centred way bringing warmth and empathy to our sessions within a confidential space. I will be guided by you and in your own time you can tell me what you wish to and by talking and processing, we will find clarity and a way forward. I am respectful and patient and have no judgement or assumptions.
What brings you to counselling? My clients range from teenagers to the retired and come with all sorts of issues and challenges including abuse ,domestic abuse and violence, Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) on line dating experiences, relationship difficulties, crime, bereavement, ADHD and Autism.
You may also experience depression, anxiety, substance misuse, self harm and being stuck in a cycle and need support with this.
Ultimately your reasons for coming to counselling, your experiences and your feelings are unique to you.
I look forward to meeting you and working together.
Practice description
I offer short and long term counselling either face to face, telephone and on line. I offer hourly weekly sessions which are on the same day and same time to ensure consistency. We will review our work together every few sessions to ensure we are staying on track with what you want to achieve. There is no deadline.
Once trust is established and if and when you would like, I may offer creative ways of working including sand tray therapy.
My first session
I offer a free non obligatory 10 minute telephone consultation to take initial details and answer any questions you may have and to arrange our first session.
In our first session we will discuss expectations and answer any questions you may have. I will also ask questions including any other support you may have. The first session will be for you to tell me what has been going on for you and make a plan with what you would like to get out of counselling.
