About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Adielia, a qualified and registered BACP counsellor offering a warm, person-centred approach to adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves or unsure how to move forward.
Sometimes we know exactly what is troubling us. At other times, we may simply know that something doesn't feel right. You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, grief, a difficult life transition, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem or the emotional impact of trying to manage everything on your own.
I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, talk openly and explore what is happening for you at your own pace. I believe you are the expert in your own experience, and my role is to offer a genuine, accepting and supportive relationship in which you can begin to understand yourself more deeply and find your own way forward.
I work with adult individuals, including neurodiverse clients, and have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, trauma, low self-esteem and confidence, social anxiety, neurodiversity, identity, family and relationship difficulties, work-related issues and significant life changes.
My own experience of loss and major life change has also shaped my understanding of how disruptive and unsettling these experiences can be. I understand that seeking counselling can feel like a big step, and there is no expectation that you need to have everything worked out before you come.
I offer person-centred counselling informed by humanistic, phenomenological and relational approaches. I work collaboratively with you, adapting the therapy to your individual circumstances rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
I adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice set out by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Practice description
I provide person-centred counselling for adults in West London and online.
I work from two therapy rooms:

36 Paradise Road
Richmond TW9 1SE
I also offer outdoor Walk & Talk counselling in Syon Park, TW7, as well as online and telephone sessions.
My practice is suitable for people looking for short-term, longer-term or time-limited counselling. We can discuss what you are looking for during an initial conversation and consider what type of support may be most appropriate for you.

My first session
I offer a free 30-minute introductory meet and greet by telephone or online.
This gives you an opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions you may have and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.
There is no pressure to make a decision during this conversation. Finding the right counsellor is important, and I believe it is worth taking the time to see whether we feel like a good fit.
If you decide to work with me, we can then discuss what you would like from counselling and arrange your first session.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
