About me and my therapy practice
*September 2026 Availability for new clients*
Do you feel different, misunderstood, overwhelmed, or like you're constantly trying to keep up?
Perhaps you've recently been diagnosed with ADHD or Autism and are beginning to make sense of yourself in a new way. Or perhaps you've spent years wondering why certain things seem harder for you than they appear to be for other people.
I specialise in working with late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults, as well as adults who identify with ADHD and/or autistic traits and would like support, whether or not they have a formal diagnosis.
You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, difficulties with relationships or boundaries, or simply a feeling that you're not quite living the life you want.
Therapy can give you somewhere to stop, breathe and make sense of it all.
I offer a warm, calm and non-judgemental space where you can explore what's happening. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or what you want to change. We can work that out together.
I work in an integrative and relational way, drawing on Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic and Attachment approaches. I tailor the way we work to you rather than expecting you to fit a particular therapy model.
My aim is to help you develop greater self-understanding, self-acceptance and confidence, while finding ways to make everyday life feel more manageable.
I also offer the REWIND technique for working with traumatic experiences. For some people, this can provide a way of working with trauma without needing to describe every detail of what happened. We can discuss whether this approach is appropriate for you.
Sessions take place online, allowing you to access therapy from your own home or another private space where you feel comfortable.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice in accordance with their ethical standards.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel like another thing to add to an already busy or overwhelming life. My aim is to make the process as straightforward and comfortable as possible.
I offer 50-minute online counselling sessions, weekly or fortnightly at an agreed time.
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, with a particular focus on neurodiversity, ADHD, Autism, late diagnosis, anxiety, self-esteem, overwhelm, trauma and the challenges of navigating adult life.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy. Some people come with a specific difficulty they would like help with, while others want time and space to understand themselves more deeply and explore patterns that may have developed over many years.
I generally recommend beginning with an initial commitment of around 10 sessions. This gives us time to establish our therapeutic relationship and begin meaningful work together. We can then review how things are going and decide together what would be most helpful going forward.
Sessions are £60.
Concessionary rates may be available, subject to availability.
I aim to respond to enquiries within three working days. Please check your junk or spam folder if you haven't received a reply.
My first session
Free initial telephone consultation
Choosing a therapist you feel comfortable with is important, particularly if you are new to counselling.
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so that we can briefly talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you would like support with and how I work.
It's also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you.
There is no pressure to commit to therapy following the call.
First session
In our first full session, we'll spend some time getting to know each other and understanding what has brought you to counselling.
You don't need to know exactly what you want to talk about, and you don't have to tell me everything straight away.
We can work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
We'll explore what's happening in your life, what you'd like to change or understand, and anything from your past that may be relevant.
Some people like to set clear goals for therapy, while others need time to understand what they are experiencing before deciding what they want to work towards. Either is fine.
Moving forward
If you're unsure whether short-term or longer-term therapy would be right for you, we can discuss this during our initial call or first session.
We'll work together to decide what feels appropriate for you and review this as our work develops.
What I can help with
ADD / ADHD, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Depression, Health related issues, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
