About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor with a passion for supporting people through life’s great challenges. Whether you are struggling with grief, a big life change, or feel that you can’t cope, I can walk alongside you to help you to explore your feelings without judgment, to hopefully feel better able to navigate your life and the challenges you face. We can work on what's going on in your life now, as well as delving deeper to get to the root of your experience. I offer a warm and welcoming space, my hope is to put you at ease so that you feel able to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

I offer space and time for exploration into your thoughts, feelings and experiences, I aim to create a comfortable, non-judgemental environment. I don’t tell you what to do but instead follow your lead with what you’d like to bring to the session. I will listen carefully, and support you throughout the time we spend together.

I encourage you to get in touch and we can discuss your hopes for therapy. I will be honest and clear with you and take care to go at your pace. It's a big step to reach out, and I will be there to support you.

Practice description

I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore whatever may be troubling you without judgement. I work collaboratively with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, life transitions, and feelings of overwhelm.

My approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning I adapt therapy to suit your individual needs and experiences. I believe that being truly heard and understood can help create meaningful change, improve self-awareness, and support emotional wellbeing.

I understand that seeking counselling can feel daunting, especially if it is your first experience of therapy. I aim to provide a calm and compassionate environment where you can feel safe to talk openly at your own pace.

Sessions are available online and/or in person, depending on your needs. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a safe, relaxed, and confidential space. I understand that starting counselling can feel unfamiliar or even daunting, so there is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with.

During the first session, we will explore what has brought you to counselling and what you would like support with. You may wish to talk about current difficulties, past experiences, relationships, anxiety, stress, low mood, or simply how you have been feeling recently. We will also discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and whether my approach feels right for you.

I will explain how counselling works, including confidentiality, keeping safe, session structure, and any practical information you may need. There will also be time for you to ask questions about the process.

The first session is not about judgement or having all the answers. It is about creating a supportive therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard, understood, and able to begin exploring things at your own pace.

Sessions are collaborative, meaning we work together to support your wellbeing and personal growth in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.
