Availability

I provide in-person, online and telephone sessions from Monday to Saturday.

I offer short-term, long-term and Single Session Therapy.

If you would like to book a free 20-minute telephone consultation you can send an enquiry through this page or contact me via my website, email or telephone number provided. I will usually respond within 24 hours, so please check your spam or junk folder for my reply.

The free telephone consultation can off you a space where we can talk in more detail about what you are looking for and establish if I can provide you with what you need. You can ask me any questions you may have about therapy, how I work, and how we might work together. This first conversation will give you a sense of how it might feel to work with me and help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you. The decision to start therapy will be entirely your choice. You can either take some time to think about starting sessions or we can begin to make arrangements for booking in our first session together.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in supporting people to understand and manage the emotions that feel overwhelming, intense and exhausting. If life's feeling like a struggle, I can offer you a safe space where you can slow down, feel supported, and find a way to rebuild your strength. We can explore what’s feeling heavy in a gentle way that can help you feel more in control of your life.

I will offer you a safe, confidential space where you can share whatever feels heavy. You can talk about your experiences openly, express your feelings in your own way, and be fully accepted as you are. I do not follow a fixed plan in therapy. Instead, I work flexibly, adapting to how you experience the space and where your thoughts naturally lead. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, and one that offers you the support you need to make the changes you want in your life.

I believe therapy can be a journey of profound personal learning and self-discovery that will raise your confidence and self-esteem to be the best version of you. I have experienced my own journey of change and personal growth, and this is why I am endlessly passionate about supporting others at a time of distress. Usually, after the first few sessions, people I work with often tell me that they feel noticeably lighter and feel a sense of relief that is very much welcomed.

Practice description

My person-centred approach means that our work together will be led by you. I will not tell you what to do or decide what is best for you. Instead, I will offer a warm, accepting, and non-judgemental space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I will offer a gentle curiosity to explore how your thinking may have formed unhelpful patterns in your behaviours with a focus on changing what is holding you back or keeping you stuck. Sessions usually take place every week on the same day at an agreed time.

If you're unsure if regular sessions will work for you, Single Session Therapy could be a good place to start. Single Session Therapy is a focused, one-off therapy appointment designed to help you make the most of a single conversation. If you are unsure if long-term therapy is right for you, or you don’t have the time to commit to weekly ongoing sessions, a single session can provide an opportunity to address a concern that needs some immediate attention. Single Session Therapy is not about fixing everything in one session. It is about making one session meaningful, focused, and useful, while leaving open the option of further support if needed. Single sessions are up to 90-minutes long and cost £120 for an online/telephone session or £160 for an in-person session. This price also includes a 15-minute follow-up telephone session, scheduled 6–8 weeks later.

My first session

If you decide to work with me, our first session will be focused on clarifying that all the necessary paperwork is in place and provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. We will spend some time discussing your reasons for starting counselling sessions and establish a focus for the work. We will have some time at the end of the session to reflect on how the first session felt for you, if any adjustments might be needed, and decide if you would like to book further sessions.

You may feel nervous as we come together for the first time, but I would like you to feel relaxed and at ease, as much as you can. You don’t need to have the ‘right words’ or know exactly what to say. All you need is a willingness to show up, just as you are. The rest will evolve naturally.
