My availability is constantly changing as I work with new enquiries, and my working hours are flexible.

About me and my therapy practice

Do you go to bed or wake up with lingering thoughts of worry? Do you find yourself crying in private? My therapy space can offer you a safe place where we can give some attention to what’s weighing heavily on you and find a way to feel happier.

Many people experience times when everyday life feels like a struggle. You might be feeling angry with people you love or feel sad and tearful for no reason. These moments might come out of the blue and leave you feeling guilty or confused as to why you feel like this. You might be feeling hopeless about the future or unable to socialise like you used to, which leaves you feeling lonely and isolated. You may know what you want to work on in therapy or you may be sitting with something that you can’t explain.

My therapy space can offer you a safe place to offload what you're carrying, feel supported and understood, and begin to work on yourself and what you need. You can talk about your experiences openly, express your feelings in your own way, and be fully accepted as you are. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, and one that offers you the support you need to make the changes you want in your life.

Therapy can help you not only find a way to feel like your usual self but to become a more aware and more confident version of the person you used to be.

This happens by:

• Having a safe space to release and process the overwhelming feelings and emotions you’re carrying and work out the meaning they hold.

• Understanding how your inner critic influences your thinking and what you believe about yourself.

• Helping you identify and establish the boundaries you need to improve your relationships with people around you.

• Understanding and changing your people pleasing behaviours.

• Increasing your confidence and raising your self-esteem.

• Developing a deeper awareness of how you carry forward your new sense of who you are and how you continue to care for yourself.

Practice description

Weekly or fortnightly sessions can work well if you are addressing an issue that needs some attention and time. Regular sessions can offer you a safe space to slow down and gently explore what feels overwhelming, giving some consideration to the thing’s you’re carrying. In weekly or fortnightly sessions, you will begin to recognise the patterns that shape your thoughts, feelings and relationships and gently reveal what might be behind them. This process will help you learn about yourself, feel more connected to who you are with a deeper understanding of why you do the things you do. It will support you to work out what you want to change and begin to figure out how. Working in this way will lead to increase your self-awareness, identify your true purpose in life, and raise your confidence. We will work at a pace that feels right for you and one that offers you the support and care you deserve.

Weekly or fortnightly sessions will take place on the same day and at the same time each week. Sessions are 50-minutes long and cost £60 for online and telephone sessions and £75 for in-person sessions.

A single session can work well if you have a particular issue you want to address. It will feel like a more focused, proactive experience of therapy and will be guided towards finding a solution. In the session I will help you identify some practical, realistic strategies that you can take away with you to try out. By the end of the session, you will leave feeling empowered with a clearer sense of the next steps you can take.

Having a ‘one-off’ single session is a quick way to access support without having to commit to weekly sessions. It is also a cost-effective way to access therapy with a one-off charge compared to ongoing weekly payments.

A single session is up to 70-minutes long and cost £120 for an online/telephone session or £150 for an in-person session. This price also includes a 15-minute follow-up telephone session, scheduled 4–8 weeks later.

My first session

In our first session, I will ask you if you have any questions about my Privacy Policy or Practice Information sheet that I provide ahead of a first session. Once we’ve checked all the admin side of things, my first question to you will probably be, “how are you feeling now you’re here?”. We will then follow the natural flow of where this question might take you and then we will talk about a focus for the therapy work.

We will have some time at the end of the session to reflect on how the first session felt for you, if any adjustments might be needed, and decide if you would like to book further sessions.

You may know what you want to work on in therapy or you may be sitting with something that you can’t explain. Whatever it is you’re trying to cope with, my therapy space can offer you a place to feel heard and understood at a time when you need it the most.

I believe therapy can be a journey of profound personal learning and self-discovery that will raise your confidence and self-esteem. Usually, after the first few sessions, people I work with often tell me that they feel noticeably lighter and feel a sense of relief that is very much needed.
