About me and my therapy practice

You may appear capable and composed on the outside, yet inside feel anxious, emotionally drained or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you’ve grown up with cultural or family expectations that encouraged you to put others first or not speak openly about your struggles.

I offer a warm, calm and supportive space where you can slow down and explore what’s been weighing on you. I work with anxiety, depression, guilt and shame, relationship and identity issues, often shaped by family dynamics and cultural identity.

Our work together is collaborative and paced around you. You don’t need to have a clear goal, therapy can be a place to pause, reflect and reconnect with yourself. I’m especially mindful of how culture, belonging and identity influence emotional wellbeing and relationships. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences and support you in developing healthier coping strategies, self-compassion and emotional balance.

If this feels like it might be a good fit, please get in touch for an initial conversation.

Practice description

As an integrative therapist I draw from from different models to tailor the work so it suits your unique needs. We may explore past experiences through psychodynamic therapy to understand emotional and behavioural patterns and how you've developed your sense of self, then we might use Gestalt or solution-focused techniques to reconnect with the present and work toward future goals.

I also pay close attention to and consider factors like race, ethnicity, sexuality, cultural values and expectations and how these may contribute to the issues you're facing.

My first session

Before sessions begin you'll be invited to complete an initial assessment form where you can share as much or as little as you like about your life and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. Our first session will be a space where we explore what you've shared in more depth at a pace that feels comfortable to you. It's also an opportunity for you to ask more questions about the work going forward and how we might proceed together.
