About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative counsellor and creative therapist who works holistically with the whole person, mind, body and emotions. At the core of my work is a person-centred approach, meaning I offer a warm, non-judgemental and collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.

Alongside this, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches depending on what you need. I use CBT techniques where helpful to explore how thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact, identify unhelpful patterns, and build practical tools for everyday life. I also work with a psychodynamic lens, gently exploring how early experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns may be impacting you in the present, when it feels relevant and safe to do so.

As a holistic and trauma-informed therapist, I may also integrate somatic (body-based) support such as grounding, breathwork, nervous-system regulation strategies, and gentle movement. Where words are hard to find, I can offer creative ways to explore and express what’s going on internally, for example through imagery, journaling, drawing or other creative reflection (always optional and guided by your comfort).

I also offer self-compassion based work and parts work (including inner-child/younger parts), supporting you to understand protective responses like anxiety, dissociation, people-pleasing or perfectionism, and to build healthier, kinder ways of relating to yourself.

Sessions are tailored to you, at your pace, and we’ll review goals together as we go.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor and creative therapist offering a calm, compassionate space for adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. My practice supports people navigating anxiety, trauma, low mood, burnout, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the lasting impact of childhood or relational experiences.

My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. At the core of my work is talking therapy, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT-informed approaches to help you explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences in a safe and supportive way. Alongside this, I work holistically with the whole person, recognising the connection between mind, body, and emotional wellbeing.

Where appropriate and with your consent, sessions may also include somatic (body-based) practices such as grounding, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and gentle awareness of bodily sensations. I may also integrate creative methods, including imagery, movement, or expressive exercises, to help access emotions and experiences that can be difficult to put into words.

I work in a trauma-informed, collaborative way, paying close attention to safety, boundaries, and pacing. Self-compassion and parts-based work may be introduced to support understanding of inner responses, protective patterns, and younger parts of the self that can become activated during times of stress or threat.

Therapy with me is not about fixing or forcing change, but about creating space for insight, regulation, and growth at your own pace. Sessions are led by your needs and goals, and you are always in control of what you choose to share and explore.

I currently offer online sessions and aim to provide a respectful, inclusive, and non-judgemental therapeutic space.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy. It is a gentle, supportive space where you can talk about your current concerns, your hopes for therapy, and any questions you may have about the process.

During this session, I will explain how I work, outline confidentiality and its limits, and go through practical details such as boundaries, consent, and session structure. We will also explore your personal history at a pace that feels safe for you, without any pressure to share more than you are comfortable with.

I may ask some open questions to help me understand your experiences, emotional wellbeing, and what support might be most helpful for you. This is not a formal assessment or test, but a collaborative conversation designed to ensure therapy feels like a good fit for you.

If appropriate, we may also spend some time grounding or focusing on emotional or bodily awareness to help you feel settled and supported within the session.

The first session is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session; it is important that you feel comfortable and supported in deciding whether you would like to proceed with therapy.
