About me and my therapy practice

As an experienced Integrative Therapist, I have many years' experience supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. I work with adolescents and adults, with particular knowledge and experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals, adult carers and parent carers, who often face significant pressures due to their caring roles.

I tailor therapy to each person's needs, working at a pace that feels right for them.

If you are experiencing challenges such as generalised anxiety, social anxiety, developing or maintaining relationships, setting healthy boundaries, building confidence, developing resilience, understanding emotions, preparing for higher education or employment, burnout, or simply feeling stuck, we can work through these together.

Alongside my work as a therapist, I have also worked as a Health and Wellbeing Advocate across GP practices, acute and mental health hospitals, as a Suicide Prevention Adviser, within hospice settings, and in higher education as a university specialist student mentor. This breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of the different challenges people can face throughout their lives.

My qualifications include a First Class BSc (Hons) in Integrated Counselling, a Postgraduate Certificate in Neurodevelopmental Conditions, a Postgraduate Certificate in Law and Ethics in Psychiatry, and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I am committed to keeping my knowledge and skills up to date through continuing professional development and research, including ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), adult and children's safeguarding, and data protection.

My first session

The first session is about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like from our sessions. You can ask any questions and decide whether I am the right therapist for you. There is no pressure to continue.

If you would like an informal chat or have any questions, please call or email me. I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation.
