About me and my therapy practice

Hi there, I’m Amy, I offer in-person sessions in the Solihull area and online or telephone sessions throughout the UK.

Life can get complicated, and struggling with your mental health can feel lonely. I provide a space to explore difficulties, challenge old patterns and make changes that feel right for you.

Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, particularly if you’re not sure where to start. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.

Perhaps you’re dealing with something specific, or you’re finding things difficult without knowing where to begin. Counselling can give you space to step back, look at what’s happening and start to see things differently.

What I can help with

I can support you with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Stress and burnout
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Trauma
  • Neurodiversity
  • Bereavement
  • Low self-confidence
  • Loss of self

I have a particular interest in helping adults understand how earlier experiences, relationships and emotional wounds can continue to influence how they think, feel and respond in the present.

Sometimes we know that we’re reacting to something, but don’t fully understand why. Exploring where those patterns come from can be an important part of understanding yourself and making meaningful changes.

I also have an interest in supporting adults with dyslexia. This includes recognising and valuing different ways of thinking, while exploring some of the emotional and practical challenges that can come with dyslexia.

Practice description

I recognise that every person's experience is unique, so I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs.

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and I hold regular reviews to make sure we are working on what is most important to you.

All topics and emotions are welcome.
