About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered psychotherapist based in Kensington.

I am qualified with an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University London and offer both long and short term therapy. The majority of my practise is face to face but I also have online availability.

Whether you are coming here with a specific issue in mind, or more generally wanting to gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships, therapy gives you the tools to make sense of your emotions, thoughts and feelings. Through working together we can pin point negative thought patterns and you can learn to cope with challenging situations with a better understanding yourself and your internal responses.

Practice description

My training is grounded in integrative principles of therapy. This means that I combine different aspects of theory and apply them to each person differently, depending on what works for you.

I work relationally, meaning I pay attention not only to what’s happening in your life, but also to how you experience and cope with relationships. Often, the ways we’ve learned to connect, protect ourselves, or manage relationships can affect us into adulthood. We’ll explore those patterns together, including how they show up in therapy, and help you move towards the type of relationships you want in your life.

I also take a inspiration from the foundational aspects of psychodynamic theory, meaning I believe that the unconscious has huge influence on our behaviour and thought patterns. Having an awareness of these unconscious patterns and the impact our earliest years have on us are key to a better understanding of ourselves.

Therapy isn't 'one size fits all', and we will work together to make sure the sessions are suited to you and your needs.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute introductory call for you to learn a bit about me and how I work and for me to hear more about you and what has brought you to therapy. It's a good opportunity for both of us to gage if we 'click' and want to proceed with starting sessions.

We can also go through the more practical elements and I will answer any questions you might have.
