About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor with extensive experience supporting individuals through trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My therapeutic work focuses on creating a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore and understand their experiences. I specialise in trauma recovery, women's issues, divorce or relationship difficulties, and parenting. Additionally, I provide tailored support to families raising neurodiverse children, understanding the unique challenges they face.
My integrative approach allows me to draw on a variety of therapeutic methods, including humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural techniques, ensuring that each client receives the care that best suits their individual needs. I am passionate about helping my clients uncover their inner strength, gain insight, and achieve meaningful growth.
Practice description
Working with Trauma, PTSD, Divorce & Abuse
A little more in-depth about the issues I specialise in. Trauma and PTSD can have a profound impact on how we navigate the world, sometimes in ways we don’t even realise. Whether your trauma stems from a specific event, or a long-term situation, like childhood abuse or domestic violence, therapy offers a path to process those experiences. We’ll work together to gently explore the memories, feelings, and triggers that might be keeping you stuck, and we’ll develop coping strategies to help you move forward with greater peace.
Divorce is another area where I provide support. Divorce can be one of the most stressful life events, filled with grief, anger, and uncertainty. In therapy, we’ll work through the emotional fallout and start rebuilding your sense of self and future.
For those dealing with abuse—whether emotional, physical, or psychological—therapy offers a chance to rebuild your life in a way that feels safe and empowering.
Safety & Validation
I believe safety and validation are essential for healing. Many people who have experienced trauma or abuse can feel misunderstood or invalidated in other areas of their lives. In our sessions, my goal is to create an environment where your emotions and experiences are fully validated. From that foundation of safety, we can begin the process of uncovering what needs healing.
My first session
When you step into a session with me, you’ll find a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you can safely explore your thoughts and emotions. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I tailor my therapeutic approach to your unique needs, drawing on a blend of trauma-informed care, inner child work, and play-based techniques (for children). Our time together is collaborative — I’ll help guide you with thoughtful questions and gentle reflections while allowing you to lead with your own insights and experiences.
We’ll work through challenges in a way that feels empowering, using creativity, compassion, and practical strategies to help you move toward healing and greater self-awareness. Whether you are navigating trauma, parenting challenges, or personal growth, my goal is to support you in developing the tools and resilience needed to thrive.
