About me and my therapy practice

Whether you are going through a difficult time, or have reached a point where you want to make a change, I offer a reflective space to explore this together.

Some people come to counselling knowing exactly what they want to address, while others simply know they could use some support. Both can be challenging, but whatever you need, you are not alone.

We can explore what's on your mind at a pace that feels right for you. This will help you to recognise what you need, understand yourself better, and move towards a place of greater peace and well-being.

Practice description

My approach is gentle and consistent.

I am curious to hear about you and understand your experience.

You are the expert on yourself and have an inherent capacity for personal growth. With the right support, you can find your own way forward.

Through my journey and in working with others, I have seen how a genuine, supportive therapeutic relationship can be incredibly healing.

I work with trauma and have undertaken additional training in this area. I work at a pace that feels manageable, especially when experiences have been overwhelming and difficult to process. I have also trained in breathwork and can use this in our sessions when it feels helpful.

How we experience and hold emotions in the body, and how we can work with this in therapy, is something that fascinates me.

My first session

If you are considering counselling, I suggest a free 15-minute initial consultation by phone, giving us a chance to explore whether we feel comfortable working together and to see if my Humanistic approach feels like a good fit for you.

We can talk through what brings you to counselling, what you hope to achieve and how I can best support you.

If you decide to continue, we will schedule a regular weekly session time. Our first session includes an assessment and a working agreement.

Therapy can be short-term or long-term, depending on what you would like to work on and the support you need. We can discuss this at the start. Either way I recommend regular reviews to see how you feel about the progress we’re making.
