About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is troubling you at your own pace. I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, so my aim is to provide a calm, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected and accepted as you are.
My way of working is primarily person-centred, which means our work is led by you and your individual experiences. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your thoughts, feelings and patterns in a way that feels meaningful and empowering. I do not see clients as needing to be “fixed”; instead, I support self-understanding, self-compassion and personal growth.
Alongside a strong person-centred foundation, I work integratively, drawing on elements of Gestalt therapy, CBT, and mindfulness where these approaches are helpful and appropriate. I will often ask where emotion is showing up in the body as this often leads to greater understanding. Our work will be flexible and responsive to your needs, whether you want space to talk freely, to explore emotions more deeply, or to develop practical coping strategies.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, low self-esteem and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Sessions are collaborative and paced according to what feels safe and manageable for you.
I offer counselling online, providing flexibility and accessibility. I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), an accredited member of NCPS and hold an enhanced DBS. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework to ensure professional, ethical and confidential practice.
I offer a free initial session as an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to counselling and to see whether we feel comfortable working together.
