About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Bea, a warm and effective therapist offering a compassionate space where you can talk without fear of judgement. I work with adults and couples on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, low self esteem and relationship problems. Together we can work on developing coping strategies and finding new ways to move forward. My priority is for you to gain acceptance and understanding of yourself, enabling you to make the changes you want to see. As a humanistic therapist I'm trained to use different approaches and tools based on your needs.
You might be looking for help with a specific problem or struggling with a general sense of sadness or dissatisfaction, either way, my aim is that you have a compassionate place to explore your feelings without fear of judgement. I provide an inclusive space where I hope you will feel seen, heard, and understood.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation, on the phone or online, where you can tell me what you are looking for from therapy and ask questions. After that call if you want to move forward we can set up an initial session to meet. I understand that the first step to seeking therapy can be hard, but I will do my best to make this as easy as possible for you.
Practice description
I believe in the importance of finding meaning and purpose in life and respecting every person's innate potential to change and grow. We are the experts in our own lives and I let clients lead the direction of therapy. I integrate Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Person Centred theory in this work.
As well as my private practice I work at a charity providing therapy for women who have experienced domestic abuse, which includes physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, and economic abuse.
