About me and my therapy practice

Anxiety, Emotional Overwhelm & Nervous System Healing | Trauma-Informed Integrative Therapy

Do you often feel emotionally exhausted from always being the strong one?

Maybe you’ve spent years holding everything together, putting other people’s needs first, overthinking everything, or feeling constantly overwhelmed and unable to properly switch off.

You may have grown up learning to take care of others emotionally, becoming highly responsible, independent, and attuned to everyone around you. On the outside you might appear capable and coping, while internally feeling anxious, burnt out, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in survival mode.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, people pleasing, low self-worth, burnout, and relationship patterns that leave them feeling drained and unseen.

My Approach:

My approach is warm, grounded, and relational. Alongside talking therapy, I work in a nervous-system-informed way, helping clients understand how stress, past experiences, and emotional patterns can impact how they feel in everyday life.

Therapy with me is not about judgement or “fixing” you. It’s about creating a space where you can slow down, feel emotionally safe, and begin reconnecting with yourself underneath the pressure of constantly coping.

I offer online and face to face counselling sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

My work integrates talking therapy with nervous system and body-based approaches, recognising that emotional experiences are often held not only in the mind, but within the body and nervous system too.

Sessions may include:

  • Nervous system regulation support
  • Breathwork
  • Somatic awareness
  • EFT tapping
  • Emotional processing
  • Mindfulness and grounding
  • Inner child exploration
  • Understanding emotional patterns and protective responses

The work is always paced carefully and collaboratively.

Practice description

What working together feels like:

Sessions are gentle and collaborative.

There is no pressure to go faster than feels safe.

Many clients describe beginning to feel:

  • more grounded and present
  • more aware of emotional patterns
  • less overwhelmed by feelings
  • more able to pause rather than react
  • more connected to themselves over time

Who I work with:

I support adults experiencing:

  • anxiety and chronic overwhelm
  • emotional dysregulation
  • low self-esteem or self-criticism
  • trauma responses (including developmental/attachment trauma)
  • difficulty with boundaries or relationships
  • feeling stuck in repeated emotional cycles

This work isn't for you if you want a quick fix. It is deep, nurturing, and designed to create real, lasting transformation rather than temporary relief.

Working together:

If you feel drawn to this approach, you are welcome to book a short discovery call.

This is simply a space to see whether working together feels like a good fit for both of us and whether this style of work matches what you are needing right now.

My first session

Step 1: Book a discovery call or reach out

I will offer a free 20 minute discovery session to see whether you feel like my way of counselling and to see if its suited to your needs. This time aIso allows me to answer any questions you may have.

There is no obligation to commit to sessions there and then! In fact I encourage you to shop around us counsellors to find the best fit for you and your needs.

Step 2: Book your initial assessment session

If you decide you would like to proceed after your discovery session, I will email you a copy of our working agreement going forwards. This will outline how we will work together, confidentiality, as well as information and policies.

During our assessment session, we will discuss the working agreement, explore your reasons for seeking therapy, your aims and how we can work together for what best suits you. I will ask a few questions about your history to help me understand a bit more of who you are as a person and what your aims for our sessions together might be.

This session allows you to get a sense of who I am as a counsellor and if I am the best counsellor for you. If I feel that you may benefit working with a counsellor with more specialist knowledge, I will do my best to find someone more suited to your needs.

Hopefully by the end of this session you will feel comfortable that we have worked in collaboration on a way of working together going forward.

All subsequent sessions will cost £65.00 and last for 50 minutes.

About me and my therapy practice

Congratulations on taking the brave, first step in your healing journey. I want you to know that however you are feeling right now, you are welcome here…

My approach is all about the whole person with a special interest in working somatically, because I believe our bodies have their own way of signalling when something needs our attention. I can support you by working collaboratively with you in a holistic way - looking in depth at the whole you. I help people who feel stuck in emotional or nervous system patterns reconnect with themselves through counselling and gentle integrative practices. Your needs, your decisions, your thoughts, your emotions and your behaviours– you are at the heart of each of our sessions together.

I offer integrative counselling, bringing elements of visualisations, meditations, creative work, breathwork, reiki and emotional freedom techniques to aid you in your healing journey. My aim is to empower you to rebalance your mind, body & soul and take control of your life.

I incorporate my values into our session rooted in compassion and connection to develop our relationship and support you on your path rediscovering your true authentic self. I'll be with you and stand by your side as we journey through the ups and downs of your life together.

Practice description

How You May Feel Working With Me

Seen — for the parts of themselves they often hide

Safe — held emotionally and energetically, without judgment

Calm — even in the face of past overwhelm

Clearer — about patterns, emotions, and what they truly want

Empowered — to make choices from alignment, not fear

Connected — to themselves and their own inner guidance

This work is deep, nurturing, and designed to create real, lasting transformation rather than temporary relief.

Who I Work Best With

  • Are ready to reconnect with your authentic self
  • Feel stuck in emotional or relational patterns
  • Have tried coping strategies but still feel a part of you is disconnected
  • Want therapy that is heart-led, safe, and transformational
  • Feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in survival mode.
  • Are seeking more than “quick fixes” — you want lasting internal change

Areas I Support With

  • Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, and stress
  • Burnout and exhaustion
  • Life transitions, identity shifts, and self-reconnection
  • Low self-worth or self-criticism
  • Nervous system regulation and emotional balance
  • Deep emotional healing and personal transformation

I believe you are worthy. You are enough. You matter and you deserve to feel heard. It is important to have a counsellor who can see that in you, (even if you can’t see it yourself).

I will support you to recognise your problems, reconnect with parts of yourself, regulate your emotions, realise your choices of behaviours and rebalance yourself.

I truly believe that real change and growth happen through the bond and connection I create with my clients. I'll be with you and stand by your side during those difficult moments.

I'm dedicated to helping you navigate your vulnerabilities with compassion. I will provide a safe haven where you can be yourself without judgement or telling you what to do.

My aim is to empower you to make positive changes to become the best possible version of yourself.
