About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, thoughtful space where you can explore what feels difficult, overwhelming, or stuck. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, or a sense that something isn’t quite right, even if it’s hard to put into words. Therapy can help you begin to make sense of these feelings at your own pace.

My approach is relational and psychodynamic. I am interested in how your past experiences may be shaping your present, and how patterns in relationships and emotional responses develop over time. Together, we can gently explore these patterns and what they mean for you both in terms of past experiences, and how they may shape your current relationships and life.

Practice description

I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel able to be open, while also supporting you to face things that may feel difficult to approach alone.

I have a particular interest in relationship and attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and complex family dynamics and trauma.

I also have substantial experience working with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, neurodevelopment conditions such as ADHD and ASD (Autism) and issues around infertility, perimenopause and menopause related difficulties.

In my NHS role I work with adults recovering from the impact of complex trauma.

My first session

To begin your therapy journey, I offer a free introductory call of 15 minutes, where we can briefly explore some of your reasons for seeking out therapy. Additionally, this will allow me to answer any initial queries that you might have.

If we agree to proceed, we may have more than one consultation session to give us a chance to get to know each other, to think about what brings you to therapy and for you to decide if you want to make the commitment to start therapy with me.

We can then decide whether we would like to work together, and whether a time-limited or longer-term arrangement feels most suitable.

I am trained to offer both open-ended, long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy and shorter-term focal therapy; and I draw upon psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches. I have also had further training in Mentalization Based Treatment.

In our initial sessions I offer a secure, confidential environment in which to explore your difficulties and together establish a treatment plan that will be specific to your needs.

After the initial session/s, Future sessions will take place on a weekly basis, and last for 50 minutes.

I work either online or in person.
