About me and my therapy practice

I am committed to working alongside you through your challenges, offering warmth, empathy, and respect, in a space where your unique experiences, emotions, and needs are witnessed and honoured. Having experienced therapy from both sides, as a counsellor and as a client, I understand that difficult emotions and life's challenges can be a struggle. In our sessions, we'll work relationally, building a strong therapeutic alliance, where I listen intently and support you in processing your thoughts, noticing patterns, and discovering new perspectives at your own pace.

Practice description

I work with clients on a range of concerns, offering both long-term and short-term counselling. Every person's journey is unique, and in our sessions, you can show up exactly as you are. Many people find that simply giving voice to their experiences in a safe, non-judgemental space can bring clarity and relief, and together, we'll create a compassionate and supportive space that centres your needs. As an integrative counsellor, my practice is underpinned by humanistic approaches and draws on a range of theories and interventions, with the aim of addressing the individual needs of my clients.

I also bring a deep sensitivity to intersectionality and systemic challenges, holding space with humility, integrity, and an anti-oppressive lens to ensure every part of your identity feels acknowledged. I have previous work experience in the arts sector, and studies in African Studies, and I have a developing research interest in the interplay between strength manifestation, resilience, self-compassion and well‑being. These interests and background enable me to offer a space that engages thoughtfully with the diverse lived experiences of individuals, always honouring individual uniqueness.

I abide by the BACP's code of ethics, and am a graduate member of the BPS. I have trained in the following:

- MSc Psychology (Conversion)

- Postgraduate Diploma, Counselling and Coaching

- Level 3 CPCAB, Counselling Studies

- Level 2 CPCAB, Counselling Skills
