About me and my therapy practice
BACP Registered Counsellor – Reading
I have extensive experience in delivering therapy to people from the age of seventeen years old. I specialise in working with people with low self-esteem, low mood, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, social anxiety, generalised anxiety disorders and phobias.
I have been able to work with a variety of mental health difficulties, and have skilfully integrated interventions, to meet the complex and individual needs of those seeking support. Alongside addressing these challenges, I believe that the relationship that we have with ourselves is crucial to consider when we are exploring and working with emotional turmoil and distress, and I have particular interests in shame and self-criticism and developing a compassionate self.
Practice description
My approach draws on several different evidence-based models so that the therapy can be flexible and responsive to different needs at different times. I may include elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices, and experiential techniques, all grounded in a humanistic framework.
Drawing on my professional training and diverse life experiences, I create an authentic and supportive environment where you can feel free to explore and speak freely without fear of judgement or prejudice. Together we can explore and understand the issues you are facing, uncover insights, identify triggers and find the right technique or coping strategies for you to achieve your goals.
My first session
Each session lasts 50 minutes, and I offer flexible options, including in-person, online, and walking therapy. I work with individuals -adults and young people alike— providing both short-term and long-term therapy tailored to your specific needs.
The first step is a complimentary phone consultation, where we can discuss your needs and explore how we might work together. This is a chance for you to get a sense of me and help you decide if I am the right person to journey with.
If you prefer not to discuss things over the phone, you are welcome to contact me by email

About me and my therapy practice
Therapy begins with a strong counselling relationship, a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard. I work relationally to help clients gain a deeper awareness and develop healthier ways of coping in both personal and professional areas of life. I believe in respecting your unique experiences and empowering you to find your own path. Together we can focus on building emotional resilience, challenging patterns of behaviour, and fostering growth and positive change.
No matter what brings a client to therapy, whether it’s past or present life experiences, feeling stuck, or seeking a journey of self-discovery, I offer a confidential space where you can explore and speak freely without fear of judgment or prejudice based on lifestyle, colour, race, gender, religious or non-religious beliefs.
Practice description
I practice an integrative model of therapy, centred around humanistic principles. This means my work is driven by the belief that every individual has the innate capacity for growth, self-healing, and positive change. I emphasise the importance of the therapeutic relationship to support my clients in thinking about their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, enabling meaningful exploration and self-discovery.
An integrative approach may include elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices, and experiential techniques, all grounded in a humanistic framework that prioritises your personal and unique experiences. Together, we can work towards uncovering insights, developing healthier coping strategies, and fostering emotional resilience.
